Chewy Granola Bars

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2012
These taste really good, but they ended up very crumbly, I almost needed a bowl to eat them. I will try making these again but adding an egg to try and hold it together.

Beef Fondue with Sauces

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2011
I just made the curry and the mustard sauce, but they were amazing! Next time I will make the horseradish one too. I did not use oil for my fondue, I used a broth.

Avocado Stuffed Yams

Reviewed: Nov. 27, 2010
This is a bazaar dish, but it's really good! I tried it because of all the rave reviews. I'm not sure why this works, but it does, the flavors mix really nicely. I don't think I would serve this to company, but I know a lot of picky eaters :) For myself, I will definitely make this again. One thing I did differently is I used tomatoes instead of red peppers, on the advise of another reviewer. This recipe is proof that guacamole is good on everything :)

Shepherd's Pie VI

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2010
Very Good! This is real comfort food. I made a few changes to the recipe as other people have suggested: I mixed peas and carrots in with the meat, added more ketchup, a little sage and Worcestershire sauce. Also, I realized after I had already started that I had run out of carrots, so I skipped the mashed carrots and used creamed corn. It was delicious!

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 24, 2010
Mine didn't turn out :( I figured with 3000 rave reviews how could I go wrong? As the directions said I made the sauce before peeling and cutting the apples. As I prepared the apples though my sauce thickened, I hoped that re-heating it would thin it out, but no luck. I still poured it over my pie, and I hoped that it would still thin out and melt in to the pie, but it didn't. I have an apple pie with brown globs all over the top. I guess I will stick with my regular apple pie recipe.

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

We were not huge fans of this recipe. It was okay, but not spectacular by any means. I think that it was the ranch dressing, perhaps it would be better if was alfredo sauce, but really I just think the whole thing was too rich.

Great! I served this at friends for dinner and was told this was the best pasta salad they had ever had. I thought it was even better the second day!

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
This was okay, but it didn't really impress me. I can see how children might like this but it wasn't great. If your idea of a great dessert is Jello Pudding mix with cool whip then you would like this, but you could save yourself some energy and just make the pudding and cool whip.
