About this Cook
I am recently married and living out of my parents house for the first time, where my mom always made the meals. I am slowly starting to catch on to the world of cooking... and I love it! I one day hope to be the person that has Thanksgiving! That is my goal.
My favorite things to cook
Any type of baked goods, snacks, appetizers, or desserts. I am venturing into actual meals slowly. Ha ha.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Cookies!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime my husband says "I would eat this again" that is a triumph in my world!
My cooking tragedies
I tend to undercook things.

Grandma's Chicken Noodle Soup
Great chicken noodle soup! It's not to thin and runny like some can be thanks to the corn starch! I also omitted the salt and used reduced sodium chicken broth. I am watching my sodium, so my husband can always salt his to taste if he wants. But it tastes salty enough to me!! I also added a cup of carrots. I didn't have poultry seasoning, so I used 1/4 a tsp of dried thyme and 3/4 tsp of dried sage to replace. I also used whole wheat noodles to up the fiber!

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I have never attempted a pumpkin roll, but tried this for the first time. It is the best homemade dessert item i've made. I didn't change a thing from the recipe, except I used the 11 x 7 cookie sheet like others suggested.

Grilled Flat Iron Steak with Blue Cheese-Chive Butter
I am giving the butter five stars! It tastes just like the topping they put on steaks at bonefish. I wasn't really impressed with the steak itself though, but probably becuase it wasn't my preferred cut. I'll stick with filet mignon.
