Thanksgiving Meatloaf

Reviewed: Apr. 6, 2010
Love this recipe. So does my VERY picky 5 year old. Great next day. I like it so much I am making it tonight, because it makes everyone happy and full. I am going to make sweet potato fries (plain potato fries for son) and broccoli... Definitely recommend! Oh and I usually don't have Romano on hand and well not going to spend the $$$ on one dish so just use Parmesan instead and the apple I don't use Granny Smith unless I have, any apple will do IMO. : )

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: May 7, 2009
The only reason I rated it 4 stars and not five is because I only heated my oven to 400º vs original temp. and I did add salt to taste (which I am glad I did)... Otherwise this was an awesome, super delicious recipe and for once I was proud of the Baked French Fries I made. They were perfectly cooked inside and out (with a bit of a crisp on the outside and a tasty potato inside). I made sure to stir them up every 5 minutes or so... I thought these were TDF and the only thing I will do next time to better this recipe is instead of the 3 serving recipe I did this time I will do a 6 serving (because I could of ate them all by myself)... BTW: both my young children loved and that is saying something. Thank you for the recipe, very happy with the results and it is now saved "forever" in my recipe box.

German Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
This is just not that great! My grandma is german, so I have been raised around "german potato salad" and there is just something off about this recipe. I have tried it 2 times and both times it just did not stand up to my expectations. (I just can not quite pinpoint the problem, the first time it was too salty, then the second time it was too sweet : P )There are definitely better recipes out there!!!

Good Old Fashioned Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
I just made these pancakes and I think they turned out GREAT!!! I will definitely use this recipe MANY more times!!! They were light, fluffy, and delicious! I did change one thing: I reduced salt to a 1/2 tsp which I think was a wonderful decision. They still had a mild "salty" taste but with sweetness of my maple syrup to equal it out, I think that it made this Pancake recipe a hands-down winner!!!

Southwestern-Flavored Ground Beef or Turkey for Tacos & Salad

Reviewed: May 21, 2007
This turned out awesome! I will never again purchase packaged taco seasoning again. It does take a little longer to prepare, (since you don't just open a package a pour it in) But it is worth every extra minute! I will definitely make this again. Great recipe!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 12, 2007
All I can say is YUM! These were great and not to sweet- but just right. I am very happy I found this recipe. I wouldn't change a thing. I will be making these again for sure. But they are dangerous, I made them for my family and ate 75% of them by myself... opps LOL. (not in one sitting :) P.S. I did notice that I was left with more then 1/2 of my crumb mixture after topping and I made BIG muffins :)

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
I love, love, love this recipe. For a while I would always look for new Pot Pie recipe each time I would want to make, but now I only look at this one. You can't go wrong! I do do things a little differently: I put in 9X13 pan and then top with a basic biscuit (or what ever biscuit recipe you what to use) top. Yummmmm.... My son who is pretty picky when it comes to "sauce" on his food, truly enjoys this recipe. That is when I really knew, this was the best recipe ever!

Homemade Banana Pudding Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
I thought this was good. I did reduce the sugar like some of the others (which I am glad I did) But in the meringue I followed someones suggestion of 2/3 instead of a 1/2 cup (I believe) DON'T DO THIS! KEEP IT THE ORGINAL AMOUNT OF SUGAR OR A LITTLE LESS. It turned out way to sweet! But I did add Vanilla and cream of tartar (which I don't think was a bad idea). If I had of just added those 2 things and did not add more sugar to meringue the recipe would of been great. Next time I will know better :)

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
I thought this recipe was really good. Nothing will ever compare to my Grandma's but what can you say. The only problem that I had was that I did like some of the others and doubled my rue (sauce): which you should do: but when I did I doubled salt also, and boy was that a BAD idea. I had to toss the whole thing out, it was yuck! So just as a heads up, if you are doubling don't do as I did, if I hadn't done that I can guarantee that I would of probably ate the whole thing by myself LOL.

Easy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Apr. 15, 2007
I thought this was delicious, and my family seemed to like it. I did listen to some of the reviews and added garlic in with the mushroom and onions; and I also added worchestershire to the sauce. I thought over all it was a wonderful recipe that only used fresh ingredient, instead of ones out of cans (which can cause major sodium overload)... But it did lack a little flavor (next time I think I will have to add more seasoning). I would would definitely make this recipe again, and hopefully with a few tweaks, make it a 5 star recipe :)
