Turkey Bean Chili

I saw this recipe in quick cooking and it is awesome! However in the magazine it said 1-2 tbsp chili powder; 1-2 tsp cumin I always put 2 tbsp chili powder and 2 tsp cumin and it is awesome! I noticed that someone else added V-8 juice to thin it out, well at first it is thick and not much juice but when you bring it to a boil and the longer that you let it simmer the more juice is produced. I have made this recipe for about 2-3 years now and it is everyone in my families favorite. If you want it spicier add more jalapeƱo pepper w/seeds. I also add to my own bowl a few shots of Texas Pete. MMMM I also always use extra lean ground beef for a healthier option.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds

These were pretty good. They taste like how you would buy them from the store. This is your basic pumpkin seeds. They were good though.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice

This was exceptionally delicious! I like pumpkin seeds to be completely crunchy so, I baked them at 275 degrees until they had just a little bit of a golden color to them them. Then I put them in the pan with half butter and extra-virgin olive oil, sugar and waited for them to get even more of a golden color(caramelize). I liked the sweet and salty mix! They were great!

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds

This recipe was very good. I took some of the others advice and doubled the recipe. I rinsed the seeds very well and patted them dry and stuck them in the oven for 20 minutes before using this recipe. It made them crunchier. I used extra-virgin olive oil instead of butter; I did not double the oil though. I also used popcorn salt, just because I thought it would coat all the seeds better. They turned out very good. I have a picky 5 year old and he loved them.

Banana Banana Bread

This recipe was very good! I did exactly wat the recipe called to do. I checked the bread with a toothpick at 60 minutes and it wasn't completely clean, but I pulled it out and let it sit in the pan for 10 minutes like the recipe said and after that it was perfect. My husband and son loved it. I will make it again.

Old Fashioned Peach Cobbler

I made it exactly how the recipe said to make it except that I left it in the oven after the required baking time was up, so that when we were ready for desert it was still warm. A scoop of vanilla bean ice cream went very well with it. I was a little nervous about making the crust because I have never made one before. To my surprise it was actually very easy and delicious! My husband said he loved how it just melted in his mouth. Thanks for the recipe!
