About this Cook
A little about me is I am a Mom and wife so I try to find cost effective recipes to make. My son is extremely picky and my husband will eat anything that I offer, no matter the flavor. LOL
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake! I like making pie, cheesecakes from scratch, cookies, etc... I like to cook/grill seafood, and try new things with all vegetables.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I love to bake with my Mom and she use to let me lick the spoon and I have carried that on to my child.
My cooking triumphs
My cooking triuph was when I finally made a cheescake that didn't crack!
My cooking tragedies
My first cooking tragedy was when I tried to make chicken cordon blue with broccoli and swiss roll-ups. Well it didn't turn out well at all.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
These were pretty good. They taste like how you would buy them from the store. This is your basic pumpkin seeds. They were good though.

Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice
This was exceptionally delicious! I like pumpkin seeds to be completely crunchy so, I baked them at 275 degrees until they had just a little bit of a golden color to them them. Then I put them in the pan with half butter and extra-virgin olive oil, sugar and waited for them to get even more of a golden color(caramelize). I liked the sweet and salty mix! They were great!

Spiced Pumpkin Seeds
This recipe was very good. I took some of the others advice and doubled the recipe. I rinsed the seeds very well and patted them dry and stuck them in the oven for 20 minutes before using this recipe. It made them crunchier. I used extra-virgin olive oil instead of butter; I did not double the oil though. I also used popcorn salt, just because I thought it would coat all the seeds better. They turned out very good. I have a picky 5 year old and he loved them.
