Amazing Whole Wheat Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2012
Wonderful pizza crust. Not 100% whole wheat but worth the trade-off for a yummier crust imo. Next time I'll try it with even more whole wheat and see if we like it as much

Slow Cooker Lancaster County Pork and Sauerkraut

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2011
This was excellent! I didn't even have the caraway seeds, but the pork was tender and yummy, not at all dried out like I remember this dish being so often in the past. Try it. If you like sauerkraut, you'll love this meal! Served with mashed potatoes and a salad. Guests loved it too.

Quick Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2011
I didn't really like this cake. And neither did my husband. Guests seemed as though they enjoyed it but I could taste the acid far too much.

Chewy Noels

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
Maybe this could be good with a lot of work, but it's definitely not worth wasting the ingredients as is. I'm not a big fan of nuts in desserts, so I used chocolate chips in place of the walnuts, BUT the only thing that would really affect is the consistency (which people already said was off), I figured it would at least taste good. But seriously, I wish I hadn't wasted the chocolate chips. It tastes bland and sugary in a way that not even the nuts could fix. If you're going to make them, do yourself a favor and at least add some salt like all normal cookies have.

Delicious Raspberry Oatmeal Cookie Bars

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2010
This was VERY good! I even made it with shortening instead of butter since I'm allergic to dairy and it still was incredibly yummy. Everyone at the party I took them to raved about them. Definitely double the recipe and make a 9x13. Use plenty of the jam (with seeds is fine). And if you use shortening, double the salt. That's the only change I'd make. Thanks for the great recipe!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
VERY yummy as is. I didn't measure exactly so I may have put on more spices than called for. Did sweet potatoes and russet since I didn't have enough russet, and I liked russet better. But sweet wasn't bad at all.

Very simple, yummy pan-seared chicken. Moist, great with rice or potatoes and green beans with lemon pepper. Add garlic.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
I followed previous reviews and excluded the flour. Other than that, followed the recipe exactly and after making it twice, have added it to my "will make often" list. VERY good.

Streusel Topped Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2010
These are wonderful! I even made them %100 whole wheat and cut back on the sugar. They were still quite sweet enough, moist, and wonderfully light. Try them!!!

Southwest Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
This recipe is not very interesting, even after I tweaked it. I like the idea though. If you're making it, try sauteing onions and garlic in the oil first, then adding some spices: cumin, chile powder, chipotle chile powder. Let them stand for a few minutes with the onions over low heat, this will bring out their flavors more in the dish. Now add the rest of your ingredients. I think the best way to pull the whole dish together is to shred the chicken before serving. Serve on rice. A slightly sweet cornbread is also a nice compliment to the sweeter/spicier chicken mixture.

Chicken Posole

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
Very yummy recipe. Lucas and I both liked it a lot. Made with homemade chicken broth, served with plenty of cheese, extra lime, sour cream, and chips and salsa on the side. Quick, simple, and plenty of protein!
