Garlic Brussels Sprouts

I get great results EVERY time with this healthy recipe (so many others add bacon or cream). Any flavorful liquid can be used at the end to steam in some taste in addition to broths I've used white wine, apple juice in the fall and the boys loved the beer sprouts!

meh. i got the ice crystal result. i will add that i used skim milk though and i think that's mostly to blame, but it still tasted so jello-y.

Winter Energy Cookies

Perfect camping cookies! I halfed it and used a 2T scoop and made them in muffin tins as round granola bars. the half recipe made 19 of them! Fiber FULL! I also enjoyed mini choco chips in them.

Gooey Butter Cake III

I halfed the recipe (used small box of j!ffy) and put it in a pie plate. Beautiful! I also added a small squeeze of lemon and some zest to the crust and a half lemon of juice to the topping. Kind of cut the uber sweet and made the dessert more "adult" people went NUTS for the lemon butter cake. I may add it on here as a separate recipe.

No Bake Cookies III

I thought these were slightly oat heavy. i wont comment on taste since i used splnda for part of the sugar, but mine were a dull light brown with fairly little chocolate-ness. maybe i stirred to long?

Sweet Potato Bread

These loaves were DELICIOUS, though i added a 1/3C pumpkin to intensify the flavor a bit, yay vitamin A!! zest a very interesting addition. i almost doubled the spices as well. such a moist bread, it was fantastic. thanks!

Pumpkin Butter Spice Cake

Great staple for a quick cake!! I only had pumpkin butter (my preference) and added 1.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice to make it more of a spice cake. SO good. I'll be making the apple version as well. going in the permanent recipe stash. thanks!

Grilled Pineapple

Excellent! I added a splash of whiskey to the marinade as well so they'd be flambéed with some fire marks. good with fish/meat or a dab of (lowfat?) whipped cream. Mmmm, thumbsup.

Fennel Pork Chops

This was fantastic, though I wish I would've brined the pork 30 minutes before cooking. I tossed some frozen roasted potatoes right in the pan and had an easy vesuvio in minutes!

Pumpkin Cheesecake

I love pumpkin cheesecake and the idea to put the sour cream topping back in the oven to set is fantastic as it creates another yummy layer. This weekend I tried this recipe with brown sugar instead of white and I thought the flavor was so much better (I also suggest a pinch of ground cloves both in the filling and topping, as well as a tablespoon or so of rum/bourbon in the topping!)
