Double Chocolate Biscotti process
A pic of me not in the kitchen
Double Chocolate Biscotti II
About this Cook
My name is Joshua. I'm 24 years old. I live in Western New York. One of my favorite things to do is cook. I'm in the process of finishing up classes for Performance Auto Mechanics so that I can open up my own shop soon. But I'll still be in the kitchen in my off time.
My favorite things to cook
I really enjoy cooking anything really. I like trying new different recipes that I've never made before. I enjoy seafood, pasta, any Italian food, and I'm just now starting to be introduced into Ukrainian foods. I'm always up to try anything though.
My cooking triumphs
I always make a good homemade chili. I also like making my own shrimp scampi with a little white wine. I make my own sauce for spaghetti. But my favorite dishes are anything with venison. After last year's deer season, I went through a 1/2 deer in one week. I made a huge roast and let it slow cook with a tomato sauce base for the entire day. I also made a venison stew that was so delicious. It fed almost 20 people that night. I also did up steaks here and there, then made up about a pound of jerky too. Now, every deer season is a planned occasion with friends and family.
My cooking tragedies
One time I made my own beer batter for octopus. It was one of my first dates with this girl and I thought I would make her some deep fried calamari and clams casino. Yeah, well...needless to say, I completely lost track of time while the oil was heating up. The stovetop caught on fire from some grease and then the calamari turned out so disgusting. Surprisingly, she came back the next night for Lobster, Butterfly Shrimp, and King Crab Legs. lol I was so embarassed for the longest time about that though. I had to repaint the cupboards above the stove too. But now the kitchen is back in perfect condition.
