Spaghetti Squash with Creamy Pumpkin Sauce

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I Lalalalalalalalove this! Yay. I think what made it so yummy was cooking the garlic until it was golden to the point of almost brown. It was browned in places, and I had to use red onion because I am out of shallots. I cooked them both together, and used about 2-3 tbsp of the chopped onion. I added 1/4 c of parm to the mix. I salted the squash with No Salt, it works as good as salt and better for me, before adding the mixture on top of the squash. Topped it with a little more parm. I placed the squash and pumpkin mixture back into the shell of the spaghetti squash and baked it a little more until the cheese was melted. After it came out I grated a lil bit of nutmeg on top. Black pepper would be good too. But this is so good! Nutty and the rigth kind of creamy. Thank you. The rest of you gotta try it.

Addictive Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2012
I used a suggestion earlier to cut down on carbs and calories from fat. It worked great, but the sauce was weird tasting, like something was missing. I added honey to sweeten it. Good idea! I added bok choy, green onion, carrots, red bell pepper and water chesnuts. Gotta have veggies. I think toasting the sesame seeds is a good idea. And next time I'll add fresh pineapple to the sauce too. Luckily the family loved it. Using a wok is key to cooking the chicken using 2 tbsp. oil. Way less fat. And I added the veggies after removing the chicken. Very good, and fast! Nice tricks to this dish. Will make again. Missfavor inspired this dish wonderfully. Thank you for all the suggestions from others too.

Nectarine Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 16, 2012
This is soooo good! I too used a crumble topping. Next time I will bake the bottom crust a bit before adding the filling. I think it'd be great adding some fresh rasberries in between the crumble topping and nectarines. Try this pie out. It's like having a slice of summer. I will make this pie more often. Sooo good!

Mom's Chicken Cacciatore

Reviewed: May 23, 2012
I gave this 4 stars for I had followed other suggestions. I love the recipe, but, I needed a better 4 heart recipe. I used chx breasts, fake egg washed and flour, no salt stewed toms, and a lg. can of crushed toms from Target, a lot of their stuff has less salt, surprized, I was. I added 3 cloves garlic, 3 tb. fresh basil, 3 tb. fresh parsley, 2 tb. dry oregano, 1/3 c no salt ketchup ( I know) but it needs sweets dude. 2 green bells thinly sliced. 1 sweet onion cut into 4, 2 lb. mushrooms cut into 1/4 as suggested, additional italian seasoning...1/4 c with no salt. I found this one at the dollar store haha. Go figure. I used 3 chx breasts skinned deboned, 4 got to mention, and I browned the chx in evoo, then placed into crock pot with all the rest. Forgetting to get to the store in time to reduce red wine to the half cup mentioned, although I used 3/4 c because it's how it worked. Placed egg noodles underneath el dente before serving. My crock pot took four hours on high. I turned it off before starting the noodles and placed ladels in the serving bowls, for my fam" was hungry.. lol. Just to let it cool enough. Ate by 5:30.... haha

Braised Balsamic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2012
Ok so I didn't have a can of diced toms, so I thinly sliced 3 roma's and added 1/4 of catsup cutting the balsamic by a third. To my surprize, it was sooo good! I also sprinkled the toms with sugar, salt free salt and salt free italian spices b4 adding it to the chicken, and added the catsup after everything was in the pan cooking for five minutes. Next time I will try the canned toms, but this was really good! Thanks for the idea.

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Best tasting corned beef ever! I added the pickling spice packet too. This is soo good. And I poured liquid into a pot and added veggies to cook. It only took 20 mins! I had tiny tiny red potatoes. Cabbage and mini carrots were perfect. I added the meat back in when it was done. Thanks Shameless Morrow. I also made the guinness bread with it, serving warm bread with honey butter. Enjoy everyone!

Cream Cheese Frosting I

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2012
Gr8 4 carrot cake. Easy. I tripled the recipe. Great as is, but I added the meat of one vanilla bean to give it additional homey style. I love the look of specks of vanilla. I will continue to use this recipe for many other treats, thank you.

Delicious n simple! For sides I sliced 1.5 apples, 1 bag sugar snap peas added juice from .5 lemon n lime with zest of the whole fruit, 1tbsp vinegar, 1 packet splenda and minced .25 red onion n let set while pork was getting yummy. I fried some fresh yellow zucchini too. I also took the drippings from pork and thickened it with flour and drizzled it n top of the pork after warming .5 c applesauce and placing it under pork per serving plate. Thanx Edie!

Bourbon-Mango Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
My family and I love this recipe. After looking for a different kind of pulled pork recipe, this was perfect. I've got many favorites but I got bored. This hit the spot. I did forget the salt, I just noticed, but this is great. Thx for sharing RuggerDucky. Outstanding! If you're a BBQ junky like me, you and your family will just love it.

Crazy Crust Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Sep. 6, 2010
It's pretty good. I made it as written, but found there was too much flavor of the egg for myself. Made it again, since it's super easy:) with one egg and 1 Tbsp. olive oil. I liked it much better. I added red pepper flakes and chopped garlic which was great with the peanut thai topping I added. I will use this dough recipe again. I really appreciate how quick and easy it is. Thanks, Karen

Fluffy Seven-Minute Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2010
This recipe is easy and quick. I added the 2 Tbsp. of corn syrup while sugar n water was heating and had the eggs fluffing with cream of tartar in the mixer. It took about 7-10 minutes total and I had the cake ready to frost when mixture was done. I'm glad too because the frosting was starting to set as I swooped on the last of the icing. Thanks T.O.Home and Pat for the corn syrup trick with details! Yum!
