Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Great seasonal bread. Whole family likes it. Recipe is great as written. And makes a ton (3 loaves)! Will definitely keep this in my book for fall recipes.

Zucchini Patties

Not hard to make and all 3 kids ate it, even the picky eater! put marinara on it. Doubled the recipe and used asiago cheese instead of mozzarella. Yum. Will make this again.

Slow-Cooker Pepper Steak

Good, not great. Served it over thin spaghetti. Easy to make and not time consuming. Added peppers 1 1/2 hours before serving as suggested and they turned out well.

Buttery Corn Bread

I have tried oh so many corn bread and corn muffin recipes, only to be disappointed. THIS is a GREAT recipe. Full cornbread taste. I may try using buttermilk next time as an experiment, but it is fabulous just the way it is. Definitely best when eaten shortly after cooking.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This is the only recipe I will use for Chicken Pot Pie! SOOO good. Kids gobbled it, company raved, what more could you want (oh yeah, more!). The best it ever was, I added 1 Tbsp. of Garlic and Wine Seasoning from The Melting Pot (Restaurant). I make this regularly now.

Pumpkin Bread IV

I cut this recipe by 1/3- just a "test" batch of muffins. Excellent! I made 14 muffins, baking 350 for 35 minutes. Made it just as is, except I didn't have cloves so I doubled the cinnamon, but I think I'll substitute pumpkin spice next time. I'll make these when guests come next week for the holidays.

Wisconsin Five-Cheese Bake

This was a big hit! Made some changes- no Ricotta (per taste), just increased the cream a bit. Used penne. Used Mozzarella, Asiago, Parmesan, and Cheddar Jack. Also added boneless skinless chicken thighs, grilled and cut into bite sized pieces. Will probably continue to tweak it, but I'd recommend it to anyone. Yummy!

The Best Potato Salad
