Apricot Oat Bread

Yummy. Made exactly as written, except I did not add the honey on top. I selected the 2# loaf, light crust, "quick fruit & nut" bread setting and it took 2 hrs and 40 minutes to mix, rise, and bake. The apricots give it such a pleasant tartness. I might try adding just a little more cinnamon next time.

Spiced Pecans

I had great hopes for these, but was disappointed by the outcome. The sugar mixtures would not stick to the pecans well, nor melt to adhere to the nuts, so it was very messy to eat. My suggestion is not to let the nuts & butter drain for more than a few seconds on the paper towel- I let mine drain a few minutes and perhaps that was long enough so that the sugar mixture would not stick. I love nuts, but found it too easy to stay away from these.

Honey Pineapple Chicken

I found that with the sugars (honey and pineapple juice), it burned very easily, so I recommend cooking on lower heat for a longr time period. It was tasty in the end, though, and easy to make over all.

Pistachio Mallow Salad

Make this! It's so easy and resulted in rave reviews- both kids and adults just loved it. Make sure you build in enough time to thaw the whipped topping- up to 5 hours in the fridge.
