Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: May 4, 2010
I gave this only four stars because it is very heavy and fattening. I used Healthy request soup and lite cream cheese to make it lighter and it was still very good. Kids said it was awesome so it will be a keeper. I also added pepper and garlic powder to the recipe. At the end sprkinkled some parm cheese over top.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2010
This was sooo gooood. I am the only one in my family that likes onions but they loved the taste of the pork. I thickened the juice into a gravy and served over mashed potatoes. My son poured the gravy over everything, loved it. I did not use all of the seasoning as it seemed to be too much. Very good recipe. will surely make again.

Butter Beef

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
This was just ok. Tasted like a greay roast beef. Added some green beans and they were good. Just too greay for our taste.

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2009
This was good. Like sweet and sour chicken. I removed the skin. I think this helps absorb the flavor and it reduces the amount of fat.

Tangy Slow Cooker Pork Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2009
This was good. In the interest of time, I only cooked for 2 1/2 hrs on high. It was alittle dry but I made gravy out of the liquid and served with mashed potatoes. It was sweet and tangy. I used slightly less sugar and salt because my soy sauce was not low in sodium. Next time I will put potatoes and carrrots in. The onions were delicious.

Honeyed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
This was tasety hwoever teh meat was a little dry. I did not cook as long as the receipe called for due to other comments but hte meat was still a little dry. Next time I will take the advise of marinating meat. Also, I did score the meat before cooking so as to soak up the juices.

Stuffed Cabbage

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2009
This was good. I did add some brown sugar, lemon juice, worstershire, garlice powder, onion powder and vinegar to the sauce. I used crushed tomato sauce. Cooked it on stovetop for 1/2 hr first. I layered the pan on the botton with extra leaves and also covered the rolls with extra cabbage. Covered the pan while cooking with foil. Baked at 350 for about 1 1/2 hrs. Be sure to add water to the pan to cover rolls. This adds more sauce and keeps the rolls moist.

Italian Pasta Florentine

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2009
This was good. A little bland but adding spices can make it better. I added parsley and basil to the sausage. Used italian hot sausage but will try a milder one next time. I too wanted it a litle saucier so I added some chicken broth to the sausage as well. Used mozarella and parm cheese. Kids were not thrilled with the spinach but my husband really liked it. Will make again.

The Best Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2008
I have been looking for a great recipe for meatballs as my husband is not a fan of mine. These were very good and my husband says it was a big improvement. I used ground veal and beef only. Next time I will try with veal, pork and beef. Good. Thanks.
