First time making any donut type food. These were a hit. Takes some time, as they have to rise three times. I think a smaller size than a regular biscuit might fry better. I also tried a donut shape, it worked the best for frying. However, I like the look of them with the two slits though too.

Rich Chocolate Frosting

This frosting was like chocolate mousse - light and fluffy, easy to spread with a little extra milk added. I halved the recipe to cover two 13x9 pans. I creamed the butter, then added 1/2 cup of p.sugar and alternated with cocoa until incorporated, then added poured milk/vanilla in very slowly. Mixed for a while and added a little more milk - little at a time (maybe 2 tbs extra). Not super "chocolatey" but very nice on a marble or chocolate cake.
