Banoffee Pavlova

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2010
Awesome! It was my first pavlova and we devoured it! I used white vinegar because I didn't have white wine vinegar and it was fine. I also made homemade caramel rather than using jarred stuff. Yum!!! Will definitely make again!

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2010
Delicious! In an attempt to make it a bit more healthy, I used 2 1/2 cups white flour, 2 cups whole wheat flour. I reduced the sugar to 2 cups. I also used low fat sour cream. To counterbalance all this hard work, I then added mini chocolate chips rather than walnuts. Result: Heaven! My fiance would have eaten the whole loaf if I hadn't have stopped him! *Side note: I made 2 loaves and 12 muffins out of this recipe. I took someone else's recommendation and baked the loaves at 325 for 1 hour 10 minutes, the muffins took 45 minutes. Turned out perfect!

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
Everyone LOVED these when we made them at our last bbq. I had to hand out doggie bags for everyone to make them stop begging for more!

Sunday Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
Pretty good. I poured the hashbrowns across the bottom of the pan rather than mixing them in, and then used ham rather than bacon since that's what I had on hand. It took a lot longer to cook than stated but that always happens to me with egg dishes. I think I ended up cooking for an extra 15 minutes at a higher temperature.

Lemon Cream Stuffed French Toast with Streusel Topper and Fresh Blueberries

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
I liked this, I just expected a bit more tanginess to it. The cream cheese really tones down the tartness of the lemon pie filling. We enjoyed it but not as much as the other overnight french toast we made.

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2010
This was so good I made it again the next day with leftover toast!!! We used 4 eggs instead of 5 as recommended and threw in some orange zest. It was awesome!

Marinated Tuna Steak

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2010
Pretty good although the cooking time recommended is a touch long. Otherwise I thought the marinade was nice, not overpowering. We enjoyed it!

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Jan. 18, 2010
Awesome! I made this a couple nights ago and we LOVED it! So easy and simple, smells delicious when it's cooking. Didn't change a thing about it. I used Chicken & Ribs BBQ sauce which had the right amount of smokiness. This will definitely be made a lot in our house!

Cranberry Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
I've made this at least 3 times now for my family and they LOVE it. It's ridiculously easy and everyone is impressed at homemade cranberry sauce! I let it boil away on the stove until it looks thick enough, definitely more than the time recommended. 20 minutes maybe?

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2009
Oh my gosh! Worth the effort! Absolutely delicious! My fiance discovered them before our family arrived for Christmas dinner and I thought there would be none left by the time they came! Definitely refrigerate the cream cheese/oreo balls for about an hour or so before attempting to dip, otherwise they'll be too soft and fall apart. I melted 4 ounces of chocolate at a time so it wouldn't solidify while I was dipping, perhaps more time consuming but it worked for me. I didn't have a technical way of dipping other than dropping in a ball, rolling it around with small cappuccino spoons, and pulling it out. I'm looking forward to trying these again next year with the holiday flavoured Oreos!

Thai Pineapple Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2007
Awesome! I doubled up on the chicken like suggested, and used only 1 tbsp of curry, although next time I would use 2. It makes WAY more than 6 servings, but having left overs of a delicious meal is never a bad thing! I will DEFINITELY make this again!

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
Delicious! We had it as a dessert which was perfect on a summer night! I only needed about 1/4 of the cinnamon sugar though. I've saved the rest for next time I make this ;)

Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
I made this for dinner tonight and it was AMAZING! The only problem was my cornstarch clumping, next time I would cut down on the amount of cornstarch altogether (I fished most of it out and the sauce was perfect and thick) and add water accordingly. Definitely a keeper and an impressive meal for guests!
