Shrimp Etouffee II

Tastes just like the etouffee I had in New Orleans on our honeymoon. Thanks for the great, easy and delicious recipe.

Julie's Jambalaya

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2011
After our honeymoon in New Orleans, I tried to find a recipe for the wonderful jambalaya I had in the French Quarter. This is the closest I've come. -- I sometimes use some left over grilled pork chops in place of the chicken.

Halloween Bloody Baked Rats

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2010
I just used jar spaghetti sauce and used a piece of string cheese for the "guts". Used pieces of black olives for eyes because that's what I had on-hand. Was a fun Halloween meal, served on top of Tape Worms (linguine) with Dusty Bones (breadsticks w/ parmessan) and Graveyard Grass (salads). Very funny idea. Thanks! :)

Chocolate Oatmeal Drop Cookies

This was excellent. I used peanut butter chips and devil's food cake. They don't spread very much, so you might want to flatten cookies slightly if you are making balls with a scoop like I did.

Chili Dog Casserole II

Very good. VERY easy. Kids loved it. Adults enjoyed it too. Only gets 4 stars instead of 5 because of high fat content.

This is great stuff. Easy and delicious. I usually halve the recipie and use a little more apple than called for. Great with vanilla ice cream!

Baked Ziti I

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2005
I substituted Italian sausage for the beef. Also, I had to use a larger pan than 9 x 13. Everyone in my family loves this from my picky 2-year-old to my husband!

Not bad. I added some garlic powder and Italian seasoning to add a little more flavor. The husband and kids like it. :)

Used caramel ice cream topping instead of melting caramels. Much easier. Tasted great!

Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2000
The salad tastes great and is easy to assemble. The parmesan in the dressing made it a little to thick for my tastes. Next time I'll try it with a little more mayo and little less parmesan. This filled a heaping 9" x 13" pan.
