Butternut Squash Fries

Reviewed: Jun. 17, 2009
These are AMAZING!!!!! I coated mine in olive oil and added salt and fresh cracked pepper, with just a dash of cinnamon, cayenne, and garlic powder and they're perfect. Theyre tender but not mushy. I cut them like I would any homemade fries...not too skinny, but not as big as steak fries. Will be making these again...tomorrow!

Shrimp Fried Rice II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
I just made this for lunch, it tasted good, but the texture was off, kind of mushy....not sure what I did wrong. I added peas and fresh mushrooms.

Grilled Garlic Artichokes

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2008
I love artichokes and typically steam them.....never again. This is an easy foolproof method that is so flavorful, you don't need to dip them. Thanks for the great recipe.

Super Easy Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2008
Super easy and tasty. I used cream of mushroom, white onions, fresh mushrooms and chardonnay because that's what I had on hand. I also added some diced scallions. I'll definitely make this one again, it's too easy not to.

Baked Bar-be-Que Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 9, 2008
I made this for my family for dinner, it's delicious. I lifted the skin and season the meat with garlic salt instead of powder along with ground pepper and a little barbeque sauce then replaced skin and added more barbeque. It's tender and delicious. I'll remove the skin and shred it before serving on rolls with yes, more barbeque sauce. yummy!

Appetizer Meatballs

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
These meatballs are killer! I made them with ground turkey and turkey sausage and they were delicious. They were quite tangy due to the amount of vinegar so I added more pinapple juice along with some more crushed pineapple and brown sugar to the glaze, which was more of a sauce when I was done and they were perfect. I served them from a crockpot set to low and my guests gobbled them up. Thanks for the great recipe.

Artichoke and Crabmeat Triangles

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2008
I made this to serve at a party, tried it previous to serving and was a little disappointed. I was as other reviewer have said, too much crab. I added softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar and some cajun seasoning which made it better. I used it as filling in cresents and with the remainder(it made a ton)I baked it and served it as a dip. It was okay but not what I was expecting. I probably will not use this recipe again.

Bacon-Wrapped Asparagus

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2008
This is a great way to make asparagus. I cut off the fatty side of the bacon, using only the meatier side to wrap my asparagus. I brushed the ends and tips with extra virgin olive oil mixed with ground black pepper and roated them in the oven at 450 for 15-20 minutes as another reviewer suggested and they were perfect! I lined my baking pan with wax paper to prevent the bacon from sticking to the bottom and they came out beautifully. Thanks for the great recipe.

Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
This was a pleasant change from the typical oil based pasta salads I've made. I didnt have any olives on hand so I added some celery instead. I'll definetly make it again, but next time I'll try adding more veggies.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2007
You just can't beat this recipe. I used all the recommended spices and veggies except the tabasco and green chilis, using ground turkey and some stew meat I had on hand, and added it all to a pot of fresh pinto beans I had just begun cooking, AWESOME!!! I cooked it for a total of 4 hours and it was worth the wait.

Ranch Dressing and Dip Mix

Reviewed: Jul. 9, 2007
we made this dip this weekend when we realized we had nothing else. I used what i had on hand, fresh minced parsley and fresh minced green onion and i thought it was pretty good. I did think it was a bit salty so next time I'll reduce the amount of salt. I must say everyone enjoyed it and by the end of the night all the dip and veggies were history. Thanks for this recipe, it was just what I was looking for.

True-Blue Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2007
I did a search for this recipe after trying some a friend had bought at a local deli. This recipe is possibly better. (I think its the sour cream.)I followed the recipe exactly except that I didn't peel the potatoes and I added about 5 slices of crumbled bacon. Thanks for sharing this wonderful recipe!! I've already passed it along to a few of my friends.

Hot German Potato Salad III

Reviewed: May 8, 2007
Yum! I love German potato salad and this recipe. I just made it for myself because I had everything except for the celery seed, and it was good even without it. I doubled the sauce because I LOVE vinegar and I'm glad I did. This recipe is a definite keeper, thanks!

Baked French Fries I

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
These fries are good but not great. I used chopped garlic instead of powder and added cajun seasoning along with the other spices. Following other reviewers recommendations, I baked on 400 for about 40 minutes. Some of my wedges were cut thinner than others and those were best. I'll cut them all thin next time. They're best straight out of the oven, they lose they're appeal once they've cooled completely. I'll try cooking them again at the higher temp.

Chicken Florentine Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 30, 2007
This was a hit at our house from the 2 year old on up. I followed the recipe as given, using reduced fat ingredients whenever possible and it was delicious! Although next time I will cut the chicken into bite size pieces and only use 1 cup of cheese. Thanks for the great recipe!
