Mushroom Chicken Piccata

This didn't work out too well for me, unfortunately. Followed the recipe exactly, but the lemon juice dominated all flavors. If there were to be a next time, I would use a quarter of what the recipe calls for.

Tropical Sweet Potato Fries

After reading all the reviews, I took the advice of boiling the potatoes till what I interpreted them to be fork tender. However, in the end, they were very mushy and unappetizing. I even tried baking with and without the olive oil, but nothing could save them. There wasn't enough spice mixture for all the potatoes either. Sorry, won't be making this again.

Chicken Crumb Coating

This was actually very good. My husband loved it! Did need a bit more seasoning, however. It tasted even better the next day. Will definitely be making this again. Thank you for the great recipe!

Beef Stroganoff III

This recipe is definitely a keeper. I could eat this once a week... it's that good! I used top sirloin and fresh mushrooms. Also added garlic, red wine, and one tablespoon Worchestershire. Absolutely the best! Thank you for this great recipe!

Farmer's Country Breakfast

This was a big hit at a recent brunch hubbie and I hosted. Read all the reviews and followed good advice of adding some chopped bell pepper and cutting back on amount of milk. I soft scrambled the mixture, placed it in baking dish, covered with cheese, and baked at 350 for about 10-15 minutes. Came out perfect. Thank you for the great recipe!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Oh my goodness... this is the best spaghetti and meatball receipe we've ever tasted. Didn't make any changes and it was fabulous! If you really want to impress someone, try this recipe.. it's absolutely the best!

My husband I loved this! We like spicy, so we added one chopped jalapeno. Also added about 1/4 cup of tomato sauce. Absolutely delicious. Thank you for a great recipe!

Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

WOW. Only change I made was to add a little chopped fresh tarragon (add a bit more sweetness), and we couldn't get enough of it. Definitely a keeper! Thank you for the wonderful recipe!

Mexican Beef and Bean Stew

Very good. But it did need "something." I added another 1/2 can of pinto beans and pureed the other half can with the juices and added for thickness. Husband loved it!

Cajun Crawfish and Shrimp Etouffe

FANTASTIC!!! My hubbie's delicate innards can't handle too much spice, so I omitted the black pepper and hot sauce (but had them on the side for everyone's personal preference). Even without all the spice, it was to die for. Thank you for a great recipe! It's a keeper in our home!

Crab Quiche I

This was pretty good. I did as other users suggested: added an extra egg, Old Bay seasoning(1 tsp), hot sauce (1/2 tsp), and fresh parsley. However, I felt the recipe didn't need extra crab meat (used fresh crab) and definitely no extra salt! We're not big swiss cheese fans, so we used 1/2 cup of mozarella and 1/2 cup of cheddar. A very tasty quiche!

Basic Ham and Bean Soup

After reading a lot of the reviews, we soaked the beans overnight, used a leftover Christmas spiral ham bone with a little meat still attached, used 4 cups of water and 4 cups of chicken broth, doubled the vegetables (tripling the garlic!), and added a dash of cumin for additional flavor. Since the beans soaked overnight, we only had to simmer for about one hour... any longer and the veggies would have been too mushy. Soup was really great, even the next day!

This was soooooo good. I did add extra cheese, so it wasn't dried out at all. It even tasted good the next day! Thank you for a great recipe. It's a keeper at our house!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

These were the most delicious au gratin potatoes we've ever tasted. Only change I made was to use chopped onion instead of rings. Didn't change a thing other than that. Served this with spicy fried chicken and baked asparagus...yum!

Sorry... my husband and I didn't think there was anything terribly special about this recipe. Maybe we did something wrong or had our hopes up too high, based on all the great reviews. But it just wasn't very flavorful.
