Chicken Cordon Bleu Bites

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Perfect appetizer for a large group. I tweak the recipe a bit, I used my favorite deli ham cut into thin strips & wrapped that around the swiss, added pepper to the chicken and formed meatballs around the ham & swiss bites. I used Parmesan Shake & Bake and baked them until done. Rolled them twice while baking as I do not fry any more. Served them with a dip on found on this site called Mustard Sauce for Ham and got rave reviews on both!

Mustard Sauce for Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
WOW!! Simply amazing mustard! Great on everything we have tried it on, not just ham. This is now a staple in my fridge, tastes fantastic with sweet potato fries!! The only changes that I made were using malt or cider vinegar for the tarragon (no one here likes tarragon)and I reduced the sugar.

Tequila Cocktail Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Wonderfully amazing taste~ I did not have chili sauce so I used a recipe from this site, I also reduced the servings because I was not feeding 50. We loved it. I made it a second time, filled empty 1/2 pint jars that I had, and gave them away as refrigerated Christmas gifts. This is now the requested sauce for all occasions. Make sure you have a good potent horseradish as this can do a lot for the taste.

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
On this recipe I am rating the prep and seasoning, as I cooked the bird in the little rotisserie/oven that I have. Followed beginning step by step and it turned out wonderfully. I deep fry turkeys all the time and this is how I prepare them for an overnight seasoning. After bird is patted dry, I take a kitchen garbage bag, open all the way so it is laying flat on the counter, set the bird inside and season. Then take the bag, wrap tightly around the bird, push as much air out as possible, twist the top and seal with a twisty. Cut off excess bag and re-fridge. I have always prepared my birds this way as it makes clean up a breeze.

Popovers

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
Super easy to make, I also used the muffin pan and reduced the time. 18 minutes at 425 then 12 minutes at 325. Light fluffy and airy. I have made these a number of times, one time I melted my 2T of butter, added some mashed roasted garlic and divided that into the cups. WOW were those amazing. I am now asked to make them all the time.

Buttermilk Syrup

We loved this syrup! I was looking for something to jazz up my zucchini bake and this was perfect. Blended nicely with the flavors of the roasted red pepper and the sausage. Another great recipe to add to my arsenal.

Naan

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
First time I ever saw this type bread was yesterday at the store. I was looking for a good flat bread for chicken sammies but I was not into paying $2.50 for 1 piece of bread. So off to my trusty Allrecipes and I found this recipe. This bread was so simple and easy to make. I made sure to proof my yeast (mixing yeast with 1t. sugar and adding the water) allowing it to sit for 10 minutes. 3.5 cups of flour was perfect. I also used my Foreman grill (set to 425 degrees) as it is winter here and I did not feel like freezing outside. Divided dough into 6 balls, after second rise I rolled them out into rectangles and grilled for about 4-5 min per side with the Foreman top open. Just to try them we brushed with a little butter and garlic and they just melted in your mouth! So after our tasting I need to make another batch to have enough for dinner. This is a keeper of a recipe! Thanks for sharing it!

Peanut Butter Kisses I

Reviewed: Dec. 19, 2010
OH MY! Perfect cookies! I made these two ways, one with a spoon and another batch with the pastry bag. Both were perfect. I'm going to use the pastry bag for the gift ones, nice and fancy. I followed the directions for time on one batch and a review for the other, 25 min & 21 min. Both ways turned out fine, I probably will not make regular PB cookies again these were so simple, quick and EASY! Thank you for sharing this recipe and giving me a new baking gift to give!

Sour Cream Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
Wonderful dinner. I did not have time to make these in the crock pot so I made them on the stove top. Followed all directions just used my deep skillet & lid on low heat till cooked. I do read reviews so for some extra added kick I used Emeril's Essence in the flour dredge, some paprika in the gravy and served over the spaetzle I usually make for chicken paprikash. Everyone loved it, will certainly make again!

Beef Stroganoff III

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2010
Super recipe! I have been looking for a good stroganoff recipe and I have now found it! The only changes I made was to use sherry instead of white wine (thats what I had on hand), and I did not have enough onions this time but used extra onion powder and it came out great. Served it over the recipe i found on this site "Grandma's Butter Noodles" what a perfect dinner!

best mocha drink, EVER!

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2010
AWESOME DRINK! I am a daily ice-coffee drinker (I keep a jug of cold coffee in the fridge at all times) so after reading the recipe today I had to make one. Hubby and I split the first batch then I made a second one just for myself! Now I can't wait to try it with peppermint for a peppermint mocha and also with caramel.

The Best Meatloaf

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
I used venison to make this version tonight as the guys were bored with the same old same old. I did not have a green pepper so I used a red bell, i also started to run out of steak sauce and added worcestershire sauce ( maybe 1T). The guys really liked it, thought it was a nice change. They do want garlic added next time. Thanks for sharing this one!

Pierogi (Polish Dumplings)

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2009
These are amazing! I did not use the sauerkraut as hubby is the only one who likes it. Instead I sauteed bacon and minced onions to add to the potatoes. Best pierogi's that I have ever had. I will never buy frozen ones from the store again. So simple to make. I put wax paper on a cookie sheet and froze the ones that I did not cook. Then I put them into freezer bags so they did not lose their shape. Boiled the frozen ones for 5 minutes then did a quick pan fry. I will be making these every time I have left over mashed potatoes to stick in the freezer. Thanks for sharing this amazing recipe!
