My Best Clam Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2012
This recipe was great! I'll definitely be making this regularly. My two preschoolers devoured it.

After-Thanksgiving Turkey Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
Awesome soup recipe. I make it regularly because my toddlers eat it up like candy. I usually add a bag of frozen brussel sprouts to the sautéing veggies. I've also experimented with using a variety of lower fat replacements for cream/butter. Pretty much anything works - you just might get a thicker/thinner consistency. Taste is always amazing.

Zucchini Pancakes

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2011
These were great. I used a few less eggs as well as 2 Tblsp of sugar. I added a 1/2 tsp cinnamon and put blueberries on top. These were a hit! Will make again.

Easy Vegan Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Love this. Super easy! I have had good luck with putting the pan in the fridge until it cools, then cutting it. Before removing from the pan, I placed in freezer and the pieces came out more uniform.

Jay's Signature Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2011
Very yummy. I added garlic powder to the dough. It turned out very soft and chewy. I forgot to prebake the crust and I think that would have helped it to cook more evenly. It ended up a bit on the thick side for me. I may try it again and spread out further to see if I can get it to thin out a bit.

Scottish Oat Scones

Reviewed: Jun. 22, 2011
These didn't turn out well. I see great potential! They were way too crumbly and didn't end up staying together during the patting/scoring process. Then the bottoms burned and they didnt rise while baking. I followed the recipe and made no adjustments. Probably won't try again unless I wade through all the other reviews to see what adjustments worked best.

Royal Rhubarb Coffee Cake

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
This was great, albeit unhealthy, but what can you expect! :) I followed the recipe exactly until I got to the end. After combining the brown sugar/cinnamon/butter - the consistency was quite concerning. After a quick look in the reviews, I added about 1/2 cup flour and that worked perfectly. I might try adding oatmeal next time.

Easy Pie Crust

Reviewed: May 30, 2011
Very easy to make! I used my kitchenaid mixer and it was very simple and much cleaner than other recipes I've used. I used this recipe to make a quiche and I didn't care for the sweetness, so next time I would omit the sugar.

Cherry Ham Glaze

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2011
Simply amazing! Super easy and great flavour. My only disappointment was that the leftover ham was a bit too sweet for using in casseroles or for breakfast meat. On the other hand, the leftover ham was so delicious on its own that it didn't last long!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Very good! I agree that 8 minutes is perfect. Also, I preferred mine to flatten out as much as possible because I used them to make sandwich cookies with some leftover frosting. Very yummy!!

This is a great base recipe! I put cubed sweet potato in with the lentils about half way through and they are a great addition!

Eggplant Parmesan II

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Very good. I followed some suggestions - salting the eggplant and then baking the breaded eggplant for 10 minutes on each side. It turns out perfectly every time - even my 9 month old LOVES it.
