Broccoli Rice Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2010
for those who claim this is a bland recipe, try replacing about 1/3 C of the liquid with cooking sherry. Really adds to the flavor. Otherwise, the recipe is just fine.

Spicy Rapid Roast Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2010
Nancy, awesome recipe! I wanted a chance to try out my brand new stoneware baker from Pampered Chef, and this was the recipes I chose. I did double your spices, plus I added a little onion and garlic powder, as I am a garlic nut, but otherwise, I followed your recipe to a T and WOW! I was a bit worried since I hadn't even used a cooking spray on the new stoneware, but by the time it was finished cooking, the bird was swimming in juices, about an inch deep! And since I took another reviewer's advice and cooked the bird breast down, it was so tender. My guys loved it. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Jenn's Out Of This World Spaghetti and Meatballs

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2010
this is almost the recipe I have used for years, modified over the years from the basic recipe in the Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. I also add basil to the sauce; I've never added the oregano to the meatballs, though. Interesting. One more thing, after forming the meatballs, I roll them in additional breadcrumbs before browning them in just a little olive oil in a skillet, then adding them to the sauce. The breading helps them hold on to the sauce better. Delish! I prefer this sauce to the marinaras at most Italian restaurants.

Easy Slow Cooker French Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2010
I tried this recipe as written, but I didn't care for the beer-I preferred the au jus flavored with red wine and soy sauce, as well as the the garlic and onionand fresh cracked black pepper-so much richer flavor. I also preferred the chuck roast, and shredding the meat as opposed to slicing it. I served it on buttered, toasted French bread with a slice of provelone cheese melted on, with a nice salad and chips on the side. Great meal-a huge hit with my bunco pals. Thanks for the great idea!
