Spinach Tomato Tortellini

Reviewed: Oct. 9, 2014
This is incredible! Our family LOVES this recipe, so it is now in our monthly rotation. I'm not normally a fan of cheese tortellini so I wasn't sure I would like this. But when I went to buy it, I found some cheese and garlic ones and oh are they delish. I serve this with a nice big loaf of crusty bread, a spinach salad and a nice glass of white wine. Perfect. Thanks so very much Lela!!

One Dish Vegetarian Dinner

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2014
When I first decided to make this recipe, I thought well it will be something to get by with tonight expecting it to be somewhat bland.. But it was absolutely delish with a little less oil, doubled the minced garlic, crumbled feta cheese and some red pepper added in. I will definately be making this again and often. Thank you so much for the recipe!

Cherry Pineapple Cabana Dump Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2013
I've made this recipe many times (minus the nuts and coconut), 1/2 the butter - sliced thin, rather than melted. I use 2 cans of cherry pie filling rather than 1. And I serve it with a scoop of french vanilla ice cream on top. Quite sweet but very yummy. Kids love it! Next time I make it I am going to try topping it with the coconut and chopped pecans.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2013
This recipe is awesome! It is a HUGE hit with my family. My 22 year old son says this is his new favorite meal! I have made this exactly the same as the recipe calls for, and other times added more veggies. I always brush the bottom & top crusts with egg whites and add garlic. Next time I think I will not boil the chicken, and cook it with the onions and garlic for a bit deeper chicken flavor. All in all this is a very good recipe. I will continue making it for a long time to come!

The Best Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
These potatoes are fantastic! I made them for thanksgiving and boy did they go over great! The only change I made was to add a little milk, just to thin them a bit, and then they were perfect! I will make these in place of my regular mashed potatoes from now on!

Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
These are awesome rolls! I was a little concerned because I read several reviews that the dough was too sticky (and actually it was) so after I took it out of the breadmaker, I rolled it out with some extra flour so it was easier to handle, and it was fine. I also rolled them as thin as possible, then rolled several times, and I believe that made them lighter. I will make these my go to rolls from now on, they were so good!!

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2012
I made this pie for Thanksgiving and it was a HUGE hit! It was beautiful & everyone loved it. I followed the recipe exactly except that I added an extra can of peaches & cooked it in a 9" glass pie pan. Next summer I plan to make this with fresh peaches & I bet it is out of this world! I have to agree with other reviewers that this should turn out well with any firm fruit. I am making it again today, with some cherry pie filling I have on hand. I'm excited and my kids can't wait to try it! Thank you so much Debbie for an amazing recipe!

Chrusciki I

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
These bring back some incredible edible memories! My mother and grandmother made them when I was young. If you like a light thin pastry that is not too sweet you will love them too. They are sooo good! I can't wait to make them for the holidays.

Roast Pork with Cranberry Glaze

Reviewed: Oct. 27, 2010
I've made this recipe 3 times now, twice in the oven and once in the slow cooker. I have to say I like the oven method better because the roast & sauce both were more flavorful. My husband and 2 teenage sons love this roast and have me make it with garlic baby potatoes, green beans & french bread on the side. YUM.

Pork Brine

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
I have always had a problem getting pork chops tender (unless I cooked them for hours and hours) Then I tried this recipe! I used a third of the salt & soaked them for just an hour, and they turned out absolutely wonderful! I can hardly believe what a difference the brine made. My entire family LOVED them so I will be making them again and again! Thanks so much for posting this recipe!

Golden Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This recipe is my husband's favorite! It is pretty much the same as my mother in-law's "funeral potatoes". Except that we grate 8 real potatoes & saute` the onions. Personally, I also use half the butter & combine it with extra virgin olive oil. I like the comment left with layering suggestions, and will try that too.
