About this Cook
I am 37 years old. My first attempt at cooking was when I was 14 years old. I prepared spaghetti with tomato sauce. It was a great success and a pleasant surprise for my working mother. Now that I live in a cottage and have my own vegetables and poultry, cooking is not just a hobby. It is a way to express my creativity.
My favorite things to cook
Anything new that sounds tasty and is not extravagant rises my curiosity. I also love to make alterations to common recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family's moto is "There are no favorite dishes. There are dishes just not well cooked".
My cooking triumphs
I think of my cooking as little everyday marvels. It isn't anything extraordinary or extremely gorgeous. However I boast for transforming my junk-food lover husband to a vegetable eater.
My cooking tragedies
I can't forget my, by mistake, twice-salted risotto that I have cooked at my first date with my future husband. However this accident prepared him for my "experimental" cooking.

Apple Strudel Muffins
Though the batter looks very dry before baking it has the right moisture and texture in the end. I did add 3/4 cup more apple and 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves. I omitted the topping, so I mixed the cinnamon in the batter. Just perfect!

German Baby
Delicious breakfast after some changes: vanilla and 1 tbs sugar added in the batter, 100 ml raspberry jam and 1 tbs confectioners' sugar on top.

Quiche Lorraine I
I prepared this for dinner and it was gobbled in a few minutes. I made a few changes, though. I used 3 eggs and only 1 cup of heavy cream. No sugar, no onion. Next time I will have a prebaked crust pie, because my quiche came out a little bit soggy.
