About this Cook
I love food! But i have a soft spot for sweets. I'm of mixed heritage, so thats probably why i like a variety of foods. As you can tell I am lazy at posting reviews of recipes...So far I've only reviewed the recipes that I believe are my favorite and they are fabulous..but I will try to get better and review more.
My favorite things to cook
Depends... I really enjoy cooking its a lot of fun. But i really love to bake!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom's chinese so she teaches me how to cook and prepare many chinese dishes. Every now and then my dad will cook, but he likes to cook more Western types of food so i help him with that too. I really learn alot from staying in the kitchen. Its fun to cook with family. Now i've been able to cook things very easily on my own. :]
My cooking triumphs
Completed 3 wilton cake decorating courses. And love making yummy dinners and desserts for my friends who love my baked goods...and I get all my best recipes from allrecipes.com!!

French Silk Chocolate Pie I
Was really good and liked the richness of the flavor. I dont know why but I should have gone with my gut and used confectioners sugar instead of the regular, but I thought....hmm... i guess I could go half and half...should have done confectioners as I still could taste some of the sugar granules. But good overall!

Whipped Cream Cream Cheese Frosting
I agree with others saying that this frosting is not the best to decorate with. I used to cake decorate as well and I know that cream cheese frosting is the hardest to work with so I thought maybe this would be better. Anyways...its better on a flatter cake or cupcakes-I tried to ice a taller oval shaped one and had trouble keeping the icing from staying put. Does taste good, but honestly...cream cheese frosting always tastes better than decor icing. So i found this to be average but I did like the fact that it was a bit fluffier. I just wish it was stiffer. (It was when I first mixed it, but it started to lose its volume over time. (I did not have any meringue or cream of tartar...so ended up popping this in the fridge to get it to be a more workable consistancy.) My suggestion would be to not make this while your cake is baking as you will have to wait for it to cool...during this time your icing will lose its fluffiness, so make it right before you plan to ice your cake and throw it in the fridge so it doesnt have time to try to slide. I only used 1/2 powdered sugar and 1/2 granulated (as I thought I'd have enough powdered...but next time I will just do what I had originally intended and use all powdered as I do when making other types of icing.

Aunt Teen's Creamy Chocolate Fudge
A great recipe for a creamy fudge... made it without nuts since my friend didnt want any in the fudge...but it was very rich I think it would have been better if there were some in the fudge. But very tasty!
