My favorite family cooking traditions
Ahh Thanksgiving dinner at my Aunt Sandy's is always my favorite. My whole Italian family gets together and everyone brings something delicious. There is always tons of food and more dessert than you could feed an army with.

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies
The only reason I gave this 4 stars is because they were way too sweet, even though I reduced sugar by 1/4 cup. I can't imagine how much sweeter they'd have been if I'd used regular PB with added sugar as opposed to natural PB. I did use 25% white sugar and 75% brown. Next time I'll reduce sugar by half-- just a personal preference. Otherwise, these came out fantastic. Texture was perfect, and mine were done in 9 minutes, just slightly brown at the edges. They were crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside even when cooled. I will use this recipe for years to come. Thank you!!

Jasmine's Brussels Sprouts
So good. I made two pounds of sprouts and subbed bacon as it was what I had on hand-- I used about half a package of low sodium bacon. I also salted the water and boiled for the full 7 mins and they were perfect for us. I didn't think my picky 6 year old would even try them, but she ate most of them (with a little encouragement). I will be making this again for sure! Thank you!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins
I cannot say enough great things about this recipe. The texture was perfect, the blueberries evenly spread throughout, and the top was nice and crisp. I did not have any issues with the sweetness as some people did. One note, however. I followed the recipe to the "T," except that I made the foolish mistake of using margarine in the crumb mixture (since I had quite a bit in the fridge to use.) Not a great substitution on my part. You really need that real butter flavor (not the icky, fake, vegetable oil flavor in my margarine :-p) to complete this yummy muffin. Another thing--the batter is thick, but if you follow the instructions exactly, they come out as they should. Use a measuring cup, put in your 1/3 C oil, add the egg, and pour milk to reach the 1 C line as stated. It might be a little more than 1/3 C of milk but that's okay! The purpose of the direction is to get 1 full cup of liquid. I sprayed my pan like crazy and could tell that if I hadn't, I would've had sticking difficulties. Thanks so much for this recipe, I will be using it a lot during blueberry season! EDIT: These are 100x better the next day, if that is even possible!
