Green Bean Casserole I

I used cut, frozen green beans and cooked them in the microwave for about 4 minutes first. I then added the sauce. I used 1/2 sour cream and 1/2 milk, instead of all milk. It was great!

Chicken and Corn Chili

This was a great recipe! I used boneless skinless chicken thighs which shredded so easily after 6 hours. I used a can of mixed beans because that is all I had, and I added a large can of diced tomatoes (I really think it needs this). It turned out great! I will definately make this again!

Marinade for Chicken

This marinade was the first one I've really ever tried, so I don't have anything to compare it with. It did make very tender BBQ chicken breasts, but I felt it was missing something in the flavour. I will use it again though, maybe adding a few more spices.

Mushroom Sauce Baked Pork Chops

I would give this 4.5 stars. I used frozen hash browns instead of sliced potatoes which was a great idea. So easy! I used lots of pepper, salt and garlic powder, and added minced garlic to the onions. I also added broccoli on top of everything else which made it a one dish meal. I will make this again, but for now I think I'm sick of so many recipes being made with cream of mushroom soup.

Chicken In Basil Cream

This recipe is excellent and impressive. It looks really appetizing too. It would be good for guests. I did make a few changes: I used boneless, skinless chicken thighs, I added a bit of salt and seasonings to the breadcrumbs. I fried the chicken for about 7-10 minutes but found that it wasn't quite cooked yet so I then baked it at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes. As soon as I was done making the sauce in the frying pan I poured this over the chicken that was already in the oven and continued to bake. The fresh basil and pimiento really make this dish. I served with egg noodles covered in the sauce and asparagus. Gourmet!

Beef Stroganoff III

I did change this recipe a little. I marinated the beef in the white wine. I used regular onion instead of green onion and fresh mushrooms instead of canned. I also added 2 tsp of minced garlic to the onion when frying. I also added about 1/2 a cup of cream cheese along with the sour cream. I think the addition of cream cheese and garlic really made this recipe great.

Slow Cooker Chicken Parisienne

This is very easy and good, but next time I will add some garlic and maybe some more seasoning. I will also add 1/2 as much flour. I will make this again with these adjustments.

Garlic Chicken

This is way better than "Shake and Bake", yet so easy! I used skinless chicken drumsticks and baked at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. It smells way more like garlic than it tastes, but it is great.

Cocoa Oatmeal Cookies

My 9 year old daughter and I made these cookies today and we would rate them 4.5. We followed the recipe exactly. They are a very filling cookie that is not too sweet and they taste very good. Next time I might try adding some cinnamon like some other reviewers tried. They almost taste like a slightly healthy cookie, which makes you feel less guilty eating them. Thanks for the recipe!

Pork Chops a la Slow Cooker

I think I would give this recipe 4.5. I will definately make it again, although I did make a few changes. I think that browning the meat first was a good idea and enhanced the flavour. I used cream of chicken soup based on others suggestions and I also added 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, dash pepper and 1 tbsp dijon mustard to the soup before pouring it over the pork chops. It was very good.

This punch was really good! I did make the frozen juice ring out of some of the juice which was a great idea because then you don't need ice cubes and I think it stays cold way longer.

Quick Chili I

Excellent Chili! I tripled the recipe for a big party I was having and it turned out great. The only thing that I did differently was use all kidney beans instead of 1/2 kidney 1/2 pinto. The store I went to didn't have pinto beans! I think the cumin adds excellent flavour to this chili.

Slow Cooker Pork Chops

I followed the recipe exactly. This is probably the simplest recipe on earth, but I feel it is probably lacking some ingredients. If I make this again I will definately follow some of the other suggestions to maybe give it some more flavour. I used boneless pork chops. Next time I will use bone-in pork chops I think.
