Almost Eggless Egg Salad

Reviewed: Apr. 9, 2010
Great flavor! I made it just as written, and when I ate it, I put mayo and Dijon mustard on my bread, sprinkled a little garlic salt on the egg salad and put some sprouts on my sandwich as well... both my husband and I enjoyed it!

Vegetarian Gravy

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
I love this gravy recipe! The only changes I made were to use 1/4 cup cornstarch instead of the flour to make it celiac friendly, and didn't add as much salt as asked for. Next time, I'll cook the onions a little bit before adding the garlic, since I ended up burning the garlic this time. Thanks for the great recipe!

Garlic Cucumber Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 13, 2009
I loved the idea of this dip, but neither my husband or I were a big fan of it. Sounds like a lot of other people really enjoyed it by the other reviews, but we will not be making it again.

Low-Fat Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2009
This soup turned out great! I doubled it, added some carrots & garlic, and some salt, as others have mentioned. I also used both the evaporated milk and 2%. Thanks for this wonderful recipe!

Whole Grain Waffles

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Wow, these are amazing waffles; thank you so much for the recipe!!! I have to say I was starting to get a little irritated making them because of all the ingredients, but it was well worth it and we will definitely be making these waffles many more times :) The only complaint I have is that I didn't make more of them. Thanks again for this recipe!!!

Ground Beef Curly Noodle

Reviewed: Dec. 31, 2008
Wow, this recipe is shocking how it tastes much better than it sounds! One thing I was impressed with was that it tasted even better as leftovers (I usually hate leftovers), I guess the flavor had more time to soak in. I did add garlic and onion to the beef, but other than that, I made it just as written. This is a great recipe that I'll have to remember next time kids are over or I need a quick meal! Thanks for this recipe!

Swimming Angels

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2008
My husband and I both love Thai food, so we were excited about trying this recipe out. I followed the recipe almost exactly (I just left out the red pepper flakes since my husband doesn't like spicy foods) After having this, neither of us are interested in making it again. The peanut sauce was a little strong, as some others have mentioned, and we werent big on the mixture of the spinach with the dish either. The amount of tofu didn't seem enough; there was a lot more spinach than tofu when it was all cooked up.

Spicy Vegan Potato Curry

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2008
This curry is a great base, but I felt that it needed more flavor. I did leave out the cayenne since my husband cant handle spice very well. Next time I will try adding more of the spices in as I make it. The only main suggestion I have is you might want to cut up the diced tomatoes into smaller pieces; I found the size a little too big and overpowering for the bites with the tomato. Overall, great curry recipe! We will definately make this again with a little more spices.

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
This is one of the best potato soups I have made! It was a big hit at the get-together I served it at last night; I almost didn't get any! From looking at other comments, I made a few changes. I added three cloves of garlic, which I sauteed up at the beginning, used a leek instead of the onion, substituted half of the milk with half and half, and used frozen corn since I realized i had run out of canned corn! Thank you for this great recipe, I would have never thought of using a country gravy in a soup! This will definitely be made again in our family :)

Coconut Curry Tofu

Reviewed: Nov. 13, 2008
This turned out to be a great curry! I did take the advice of others and I browned my tofu with soy sauce before adding it to the curry; this made the tofu amazing in it! I forgot to pick up Bok Choy and used cabbage, which took longer to cook. It tasted fine in it. IF you use cabbage, I would recommend cooking it first so you dont overcook everything else. I will definitely have to make this again with the Bok Choy. Thanks for the recipe!

I love this combination! I have used yeast flakes before, but never have put cumin or chili powder on popcorn before. This will definitely be made again :) Thanks for the recipe!

Red Lentil Curry

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
My husband and I really enjoyed this recipe! The only change I made was that I substituted the ginger with galangal. The only change I will make next time is to half the recipe, since its just the two of us, and this makes a lot of curry! We had this with raita, chapati bread and curried cauliflower; it was a great meal!

D's Famous Salsa

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2008
I love how easy it is to make! Its also great having a recipe that uses ingredients that you already have. I did leave out the peppers (since I didn't have any)and added more garlic, and it still turned out great. I do want to try it sometime with fresh tomatoes as well! Thanks for the great recipe.

Mini Meatloaves

Reviewed: Jul. 4, 2008
Though I was hesitant to make this dish at first since I'm vegetarian and have never made meatloaf, I am glad I did, because this recipe was amazing! My husband has decided this is his new favorite dish :) Since I'm a vegetarian, I made it with the Morningstar griller crumbles, which worked fine in this recipe. I took some of the suggestions from other members and added some sauteed onion and garlic, which was really good as well :) Also, I made mine in muffin pans as well, which make the perfect sizes! The topping for it was great, we loved how sweet it was, and it was just the right amount for our loaves. Thanks for this great recipe, I will definitely be making this again!
