Honestly, I'd have to say, I've never made the recipe "exactly" according to the ingredients listed but using the modifications suggested by Lucia de Wagner. I'm sure it is great either way -- I just prefer the lighter and healthier version with fresh garlic cloves. The recipe is great and I'm grateful it was posted because it is becoming a regular item! Great with tortilla chips, as suggested, but also as a topping/dressing for green salad, on its own in lunches, with eggs and as a topping or side with tacos or burritos.
