Sunday Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
ok, so this may not be true to the original recipe but I had to review because these had to be the BEST yeast rolls I have EVER made (I've made quite a few from this site)...I proofed 1 1/2 packets yeast in 1/4 c warm water with pinch sugar, used 3/4 c milk instead of the 1 c water, 1/2 c melted butter instead of oil, 2 c all-purpose flour and 2 c bread flour...I mixed the ingredients according to the recipe, turned onto floured surface and kneaded for 5 minutes, let rise in warm place for 2 hours, separated into 24 dough balls, covered and let rise for 2 more hours, baked as directed...these will surely be the staple roll recipe in my house forever...thanks for submitting the recipe!!!

Followed some other reviewers suggestions...added 1T sugar to yeast and water, skipped first egg wash, made 6 bowls...these bowls were so good I could have eaten them alone...but filled with Ham and Potato soup from this site...I will make these bowls for years to come...thank you so much for a great recipe

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
The taste of this recipe is phenomenal..I like my soup a little thicker so next time I will reduce the amount of water/broth...or add more potatoes and a little cornstarch...and add the ham in the last 5-10 minutes...I got rave reviews for this one and served it in the 'Italian Bread Bowls' from this site....thanks for a great recipe

Apple Brownies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
Holy apple goodness...I made these at my husbands request as I do not like cooked apples..the only thing I changed was I doubled the recipe and subbed half applesauce and half butter, I just had one and even though I dont care for cooked apples, this had to be the best apple tasting cake ever...next time I will not beat the eggs as another reviewer suggested to make them more brownie like..

Angie's Perfect Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2009
Followed the recipe to a T and thought the batter was a bit to sticky to work with...next time will add more flour and knead a little so forming the balls will be easier...the rolls did come out very tasty though and I brushed honey butter on top..

Ninety Minute Cinnamon Rolls

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2009
These were very good...only reason for 4 stars is the bottoms of them were slightly firm and crusty from the brown sugar mixture melting out of the bottom...I will try them again
