I used the cardboard box of broth. Added a little bacon as it suggested. Would definitely make it again. Thanks.

Peanut Butter 'n' Chocolate Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2011
Fast and easy but....not much taste and definately too long time to bake is listed. I did 19 min and should have checked earlier as they are dry. Very thin, I like a thicker chewier cookie.

Cream of Fresh Tomato Soup

It was very different from boughten soup. Very light color. Will probably make again if I have alot of tomatoes. Had to triple to have any amount with leftovers.

Fresh Strawberry Upside Down Cake

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
I made this for Memorial Day company. When we came inside for dessert it was very refreshing because it was cold from being in the refrigerator. Got rave reviews from everyone. Will definately make it again. Served with cool whip on top.

Apple-Berry Pie

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
I used "what I had" and it was fantastic! I had a scant cup of blackberries, a handful of red raspberries, and then made up the difference with mac's, red delicious, and empire apples. It does need one more cup of fruit than it calls for to made it thicker. So in the end I used a total of 5 cups of fruit. Would never have thought this would be so delicious but I will definately make it again and again! My boyfriend wants me to try it with strawberries instead of raspberries sometime.

Streusel Rhubarb Dessert

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2009
I am usually leary of making something with only one review for company, but I did. I was so good that even a guest that said he didn't like rhubarb said it was delicious. I doubled the recipe to use 9 x 13 pan. I had 8 cups of frozen rhubarb and used it all. It took 1 hr. and 20 min. to bake because of the thickness and the juice of the frozen fruit. So be patient with the baking part. You have to be sure that bottom crust is done. The crust takes like shortbread. I will definately make this again.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
Baker's Joy is the secret. It pops right out when you use that. I used Sugar Free Pudding, added a tsp of vanilla to kick it up. Used low fat cream cheese and fat free cool whip. It was delicious! No need to add all those extra calories with regular ingredients. Family felt alot less guilty eating a piece after a large meal! Crust definately puffs way up. I think I would pay more attention to getting it up the side more to make it thinner. I pushed it down when it came out of the oven. Definately will make it again.

Coconut Cake III

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2009
Made it 9 x 13. It is very light and airy so a little hard to cut, tends to fall apart. But,....it is delicious, a real hit with the family so will definately make again. Needs to bake longer than recipe states. If you are a coconut fan, this is your cake.

Mine don't look like the picture but are delicious. I forgot the nuts! Will definately make again. Nice addition to Christmas cookie assortment with the "red" color.

So simple. I used the holiday red/white and green/white striped chips in the chocolate mix. Very festive. Baked 8 minutes. Slid off the pan in 5 min. Did not need to leave on pan 10 min.

Apple Crisp IV

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
The recipe should state a certain number of cups of apples, or a certain number of apples. It's hard to judge a quart when you buy apples by the grocery bad full like I do! It had to bake about 10 min. longer than the recipe to get the apples done, but that could be the variety of apples. It's good but will probably not make it very often. It needs a few walnuts and raisins in it as well.

Peanut Caramel Apple Crisp

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
It was like "soup". I have added 1/2cup tapioca to it and rebaked it after a day to try to thicken it up. Very greasy with all the butter. Would never make it again. Have been baking for 40 years and never had such a flop.
