About this Cook
I love to cook and bake. I love to try something new on my friends, something they wouldn't try on their own. I love the squeals of delight from the little people in our family when I bake them something so yummy on special occasions.
My favorite things to cook
Anything Italian. I love to try and copy some of the T.V chefs recipes, putting my own spin on things. It is usually simple but so good. I also love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When I cook something simple like a turkey dinner or roast beef dinner and have family and friends join us and they love it. It's the sharing that makes my heart happy.
My cooking triumphs
Anytime my husband says how much he loves a meal I just made him or when I can bake something like halloween or christmas cookies or cupcakes for my grandkids and nephews and they go crazy for my treats, that's what keeps me going.
My cooking tragedies
Thank goodness most of my tragedies happened early on in my life. If something goes wrong now I just try to fix it. Years ago I would have been devastated. lol

Frog Cupcakes
I made these cupcakes last year for all the kids at our family do and they totally loved them. I didn't use the green decorator sugar because you really don't need it after colouring the icing. However you make them they will be a hit. I'm going to make them again soon.

Smashed Cauliflower Side Dish
This is a great side dish. I'm on a low carb diet and this is a great replacement for potatoes. It would be good for anyone though. I even have it cold and it's still great.

Potato Latkes I
I give this a five star because they really are so good. I've been making these for years, I've even added grated cheese and garlic to the mix. When I was growing up I used to think these were our very own family recipe. lol Thanks so much for bringing up an old favourite.
