I have not been a huge pecan pie fan, but my husband is and we both love this pie. I took this pie for our Thanksgiving dinner and everyone raved about it. I made several pies at several different times. The first one I made as listed,but turned down the temp to 300 for the last 10 minutes. The second one I made with the suggestion of 400 then turning it down for 50 minutes. When I did that the center of my pie fell after taking it out of the oven. I didn't take that to our Thanksgiving dinner thinking it was ruined but kept it for ourselves. It wasn't ruined, it still tasted wonderful, but the presentation wasn't great. This will be the only pecan pie I make in the future. I always hated the corn syrup taste. Thank you for a wonderful pie.
