I am a new comer into the cooking world. I never really learned anything from any of my family for none of them cook. They either don't know how or they don't have the time to. I know a lot of people start cooking when they get married so they can cook for their families or husbands (or vice versa) but I'm just doing it for my own knowledge. I want to be able to get what I can out of the fridge and out of the cuppard and be able to make something to eat out of it instead of going out, heating up frozen food, or "making" pasta roni. I'm 19 years and I believe that cooking is an essential part of life and that you should at least know the basics to fend for yourself! So here I go. My cooking adventure begins; and it begins with this site!
My favorite things to cook
So far anything that has to do with breakfast or dinner. I'm going to try to eventually cook Mexican, Indian, Italian, and French meals, but for now I'm sticking to the basics.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I never really had any, which is precisely why I've decided to take it up. One that I can think of would be Thanksgiving dinner...even though everyone has that. It's just the best meal of the year and having my mom make it is such a gift. One day I will hope to gain her recipes for that day.
My cooking triumphs
So far, I've made a Fettuccini Alfredo dish that was amazing.
My cooking tragedies
They have yet to come :\
