I've always loved to cook but since I was a working Mom never seemed to have enough time! Now that I'm retired I love to try new recipes. Everything! Being from an Italian background I especially like Italian food. I've never been a great 'baker' but now that I have the time I'm working on more desserts,etc. I'm known for my Lasagna and Gumbo! One Thanksgiving, as I was making a sweet potato casserole, I mistakenly picked up the sage instead of cinnamon and dumped into the potatoes!! Luckily I realized before I mixed it in and just removed a scoop of potatoes and no one ever knew!
