About this Cook
Since junior high, my sister and I were in charge of cooking dinner every night. Now I am in my twenties, and cooking is my favorite hobby.
My favorite things to cook
I could eat asian food every day of the week, but I also make a lot of Italian food, mexican-inspired food, and plenty of wild game. I write out a menu every two weeks, and it's only by request that I'll repeat a dish. I love trying new dishes.
My cooking triumphs
I love coming up with new and interesting ways to cook wild game. At any given time I've got venison, elk, and pheasant waiting for me in the deep freeze. It's great to see someone who "hates" venison take seconds.
My cooking tragedies
Years ago, I had a hamburger stroganoff actually gel into a disgusting blob. It looked like wheat bread dough, and felt like jello. The experience ended in tears (I cannot stand to waste food). It's one of the two dishes in my life that I've actually had to throw out. I haven't brought myself to try it again. Also, I've come to realize that I wasn't designed to make desserts.

Thai Ginger Chicken (Gai Pad King)
This was absolutely wonderful. I will definitely make this again. To save time, I used leftover turkey. The only thing I would do differently is to double the Thai chile sauce, but that's just personal taste. Thank you Shae's Mama!

Chile Garlic BBQ Salmon
Because it's January, I baked this at 400 degrees for about 20 - 25 minutes. It was fabulous! I would eat this sauce on everything. This is a keeper.

Honey Barbecued Spare Ribs
This is not a really saucy ribs recipe. When my husband saw this, he seemed a bit disappointed. Then he tried it. This is the only barbecue ribs recipe he will let me use! I love that I always have the ingredients onhand. I think I've made this three or four times already. It's my staple. Love it. Thanks!
