Italian Cream Cake II

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2007
Excellent and very easy. I only used 1 cup coconut and I added 1 tsp of Almond Extract for the authenic Italian cake. So good. Next time I may decrease the coconut to 3/4 cup.

Ugly Duckling Cake I

Very good. Recipe as is except I was out of evaporated milk and I used regular milk, came out great. We did not use the glaze on top, we ate it plain and it was great, sweet enough from the brown sugar on top

My family loves this. 5++ stars. I did not have pecans, used walnuts. I am sure it will be 10+ with pecans. Very easy to make. Grease and flour the pans to prevernt sticking and shake the cakes out easily from pan, take your time, excellent!!!!second review: you MUST remove the cakes from the pans in five minutes, no more no less or they will stick

Southern Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
5+++ stars, this is awesome!!!! I kept the recipe as is, except 1 tbsp of mustard I substituted for Horseradish mustard, I also added 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar and 1 tbsp sugar and a couple of dashs of celery seed. I used regular white potatoes (the cheap ones that come in 5 or 10 lbs bags, all different sizes) I found that I had to boil them 20 minutes then I cooled them and slid the skins of, soooo good. My husband who is so picky said this was really great

Sweet Potatoes 'n' Pears

This is awesome and easy. I did make a few changes. I used 4 fresh very ripe pears, nuked them for 2-3 minutes until soft, also added one large can of yams, drained and a dash of nutmeg. After blending all together I topped with plain bread crumbs drizzled with butter and baked for 20 minutes at 350. This is a delicious and easy dish!!

Steak Tip Marinade

Very good, I used the slow cooker and used only 1/3 c worch sauce, added 1/4 c water, no garlic pepper powder so I added 2 tsp garlic powder and 1 tsp black pepper, also added 1/2 green pepper, 1 onion and 2 carrots, put on low and cooked all day.
