Seven Layer Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
Use extra bacon - twice the sugar - and instead of red onions use green onions. This is super fantastic and one of my favorite recipes!

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
It tasted good. Didnt like the beer taste in it though. Husband said, "I wish this was beef instead of chicken". Theres nothing wrong with the recipe so it gets 4 stars, it just wasnt up to par with our tastes.

Cheesy Ham and Hash Brown Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
Good, but too ordinary to be great. I will probably make this again though. Even adding some bread crumbs on top? It was a tad salty, but nothing I would have written about had I not already read the previous reviews regarding the saltiness. It tasted great and I usually salt my food anyway. I recommend using the diced hashbrowns - they will cook to the correct consistency. Ive also tried this with julienned fresh potatoes and the potatoes never fully cooked correctly.

Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
this was definately a great and easy alfredo sauce. Next time I will cut back on the garlic and also I will use fresh parmesean to get rid of some of the grainy texture. Would be great with shrimp alfredo.

Bubble 'n' Squeak

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
I made this not actually thinking any one other than myself would enjoy it. My picky son loved it and still talks about "bubble and squeak" and my daughters and husband liked it as well. It was easy to make and cost effective as well.

Aunt Jewel's Chicken Dressing Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
This was okay. It would have been better with chicken or turkey stuffing rather than cornbread. My husband and children really enjoyed it - but I felt that it could have been better based on the reviews it recieved.

Original Homemade Italian Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2008
This eas great. I used three packets that were .6 ounces each. It could have used the full amount. Next time I will use 3 ounces. I dont like spicy foods, but I have to say that this would not get the five stars if the peppers were not used on the sandwich. This would also be good with banana peppers. I did not put the peppers in the crock pot like some others. Just follow the recipe and it will turn out great!

Mom's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2008
This was good and everyone enjoyed it, however I was dissapointed because it tasted more like snickerdoodles than zucchini bread.

Sour Cream Cheese Casserole

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2008
This couldnt be any better - unless you add thawed and cooked spinach and I used bread crumbs for the topping, but still used the crackers. MMMMM. This will be a regular for our family and when I take meals to other people.
