Emily's Famous Hash Browns

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
These were great! Creamy on the inside, crispy on the outside. I did cook WAY longer than called for...maybe my heat was too low. Thanks!!

We really enjoyed this...the seasonings with the meat were great! Oh- I did use ground chicken because I couldn't find pork. Thanks!

Maple Bacon Pancake

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2010
What a great idea! I added a couple more eggs so it was a like a cross between a pancake and a quiche...kind of weird but wonderful! Thanks!

Sloppy Sams

My husband loved these, but I am not a huge fan of lentils. Good alternative if you don't want meat- thanks!

Amy's Cilantro Cream Sauce

I've made this many times and just realized I've never rated! It is excellent! I have used it on everything from fish tacos to lamb kabobs. Thanks!

Carrot Chile and Cilantro Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
I should have made this as written! I substituted beef broth because that's what I had, and to me it tasted a little like leftover broth when you make a pot roast. However, husband loves pot roast and he loved this soup!

Cream Cheese Penguins

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
Great crowd pleaser! Everyone thought they were so cute! They were more work than I anticipated, but worth it! I did pipe the cream cheese to give them a ruffled shirt look. As another reviewer mentioned, I did overhear I comment that I must have had a lot of time on my hands to do these! Well, I did! I made these about a year ago and people still talk about them. Thanks!

Burger or Hot Dog Buns

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2009
This is the best burger bun recipe I've tried! I did let them rise almost 2 hours because I was gone, they were a nice size (I made 12) and stayed soft when I finished the last one 4 days later. They did have a slight buscuit-y taste/texture, but not a bad thing! Thanks!

Real Italian Calzones

These are fantastic! I followed the recipe exactly, except for the pepperoni. The dough was PERFECT...I might season the filling a little more next time. Thanks!

Mock Tuna Salad

Really good! I am eating this right now on crackers and I bet it'll be even better tomorrow! I used horseradish mayo for an added kick.

Roasted Chickpeas

Reviewed: Nov. 1, 2009
Wish I'd tried this sooner! I just took these out of the oven, plan to serve them on a salad instead of croutons. I used salt, pepper, garlic, cumin, and a dash of hot sauce, all mixed with the oil then tossed. I baked about 375 for about 40 minutes, but I started checking them at 30, then every couple minutes. Thanks for the recipe!!!

Pasta with Gorgonzola and Sweet Onion

I thought this recipe was great! What a nice change from tomato sauce or cheese sauce. My husband thought it was weird but he did eat 2 servings! Thanks!

Polish Sloppy Joes

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2009
I think this would have been good as written, but I did change it quite a bit. I used crumbled polish sausage, didn't use the chicken stock, just the sauerkraut juice. I also added about a half cup sour cream at the end, and that gave it a great taste as well as the saucy texture of a regular sloppy joe. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken with Stuffing

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2009
This was a very easy recipe. The stuffing was perfect, the chicken was perfect- I did add one envelope of onion soup mix to the cream of chic soup with about 3/4 cup water- but I read the reviews and added a bag of frozen veggies to the pot. I ended up cooking 7 hours on high- I was gone- and while the chicken was PERFECT the veggies had disintegrated to mush. Very tasty, but mushy. Next time I will use fresh raw veggies instead. Thanks for the recipe!

This was really good...I cut the recipe in half, but also added red pepper flakes for a little more spice. Served this with sweet potato black bean enchiladas. Will never buy canned again! Thanks!

Mock Lobster

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2008
We loved this chicken! It didn't REALLY taste like lobster, but the marinade was excellent, the chicken juicy, and I liked the butter dipping idea. I did bake mine for 30 minutes at 350. Husband suggests next time a little Old Bay seasoning for more of the seafood taste. Thanks for the recipe!

Bread Machine Pizza Dough

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2008
This was probably one of the best pizza crusts I have ever made! I didn't have any beer, so I substituted flat root beer and omitted the sugar. Husband couldn't guess the secret ingredient but loved it too. Thanks!!
