About this Cook
I was born and raised in Iowa so I know all about that good home cooked country food. I am now serving in the military and have people from all over the world, introducing me to new favorites.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite thing to cook by far would have to be my Great Grandmothers baked macaroni and cheese. I can remember as far back as I can always helping her make this. I really like things that don't take long to prepare but are delicious for those days when I just have too much going on.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There was always a lamb cake for a children’s birthday, homemade ice cream at every camping trip. When the family was all together having dinner around the table was important.
My cooking tragedies
A couple years ago I found this recipe for easy fudge. On the recipe though it did not have sugar listed and I noted that to self. I made it twice with no sugar and once remembering the sugar but it was too late and nothing but grainy chocolate. That recipe is no longer in my collection.

Stuffed Mexican Peppers
These were great and easy peppers. I used yellow peppers as those were the cheapest ones. Used more than 2 teaspoons of chili powder as we like it spicy. As others stated in reviews I also softened the peppers in the microwave. And maybe used about twice the amount of cheese. The boyfriend asked if he was to eat the stuff out of the pepper, I had to tell him you eat the pepper as well. He is not a veggie fan but raved about these and had seconds.

Buffalo Chicken Fingers
Quick and easy chicken to make, had a nice crisp. I used way more cayenne pepper than called for and if I make it again will use even more to get it nice and spicy. I like it HOT!!

Mediterranean Chicken
Was a very easy to make recipe. I used a can of chopped tomatoes that had some seasoning in them as well. I was drinking white wine while I was cooking so I would pour some in here and there as the pan got dry. Chicken turned out tender and full of flavor.
