Pierogi (Polish Dumplings)

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2007
Time consuming but well worth it. I've never made these from scratch before, but found it to be quite easy and the end product was delicious. Just make sure you seal the dough with water and a fork or else you will have a mess when you go to boil them. Finish them off by frying them in a little butter to make them crispy and serve with onions. Thanks for the recipe!

Chocolate Rum Balls I

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
You definetly need to let these sit for a few days. They are very strong the first 2 days. I felt they were a little dry also. This was a good recipe for rum balls and they are very easy/fast to put together.. but I don't think i will bother to make them again...if I did i would lower the rum just a bit.

Coconut Shrimp I

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
These shrimp turned out wonderful. I actually coated them and put them on a cookie sheet in the freezer, then put them in zip lock bag. Fried them up 2 days later for a party and everyone loved them. By themselves i would maybe add a little bit of sugar to the flour because i like them to be a little sweeter (even though i used sweetened coconut), However when served with the orange marmalade/horseradish/mustard mixture they were EXCELLENT!

Cannoli

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2011
These came out wonderful. I made my own adjustments to the ricotta filling to taste. But I followed the shell recipe exactly and it was 5 stars by itself. Really wasn't as difficult as it thought it would be. Thanks.

Chocolate Covered Caramels

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2011
I would give these caramels 4 1/2 stars. The taste was wonderful..but I wasn't crazy about the texture. I followed directions exactly, but I found my caramels came out a little too soft. Had a hard time cutting them and had to keep them in fridge until ready to serve. I will give this recipe another chance though, because everyone said they were delicious.

Best Ever Jalapeno Poppers

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
These turned out fabulous! I baked them instead of frying and used panko crumbs to give them some extra crunch. I also used 1/2 cheddar cheese and 1/2 pepper jack cheese. A little time consuming but worth it. I made them in advance, stored in freezer, and then popped them into oven at 400 degrees for 15 minutes with great results.

Mini Cheesecakes

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2010
These tasted great! Very simple but great cheesecake taste. Next time I make a large cheesecake I will use this recipe to replace the one I currently use. Also loved the vanilla cookies crumbs on bottom instead of graham cracker crumbs.

Southwestern Egg Rolls

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2010
I made a triple batch of this recipe for a party.. SOOO GOOD! nothing but compliments.. and everyone said this was the best version they have ever tasted. I also omitted spinach, and used egg roll wrappers instead of tortillas. I fried all of them 2 days before party, wrapped them in plastic wrap, placed in fridge and reheated at 425 degrees for 10-12 min. Not as crispy as when they are first fried.. but not soggy either. I served this with ranch dip that i added chili powder to. Next time I will try baking to make them a bit healthier. Thanks for a wonderful recipe that I will definetly be making over and over and over again!

Cinnamon Rolls III

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2007
This is the best recipe i have found for cinnamon buns. I made a few alterations though.. used 3/4 pkg of vanilla pudding, omitted the nuts, and made an extra 1/2 recipe of the filling(to make them extra gooey!) They came out moist, fluffy and delicious. A big hit!

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine

Reviewed: Aug. 18, 2011
This was a great recipe. Tasted just like bakery bought italian bread. The only problem I had was that the bread didn't rise as much as i would have liked. However, this may have been my fault because I think i made the loaves to long. Next time I will make them shorter this way they have more height.

Soft Sugar Cookies IV

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
These were good but not great. They really dont spread out at all, so after the first batch I made sure to press them down. I think the shortening makes them a little too firm. Next time I will try making with all butter. They weren't a soft inside as I had imagined, but everyone still ate them.

Cream Puffs

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2010
The shell turned out wonderful... 5 Stars.. Very easy to make and held up well. Just make sure you poke a hole on the side after baking to release steam. The filling was just ok. Nice consistency, but I didnt like the processed pudding taste. Good if you are in a rush, but think i will try to make a filling from scratch next time or maybe reduce the amount of pudding and add vanilla extract.

Very Tasty! Taste is a little more cakey then traditional brownies.. but still very good! cannot taste the beans! I used organic unrefined coconut oil and omitted chocolate chips. Will definetly make again.

Chocolate Truffle Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
So Good! I brought them to a family get together and every one LOVED them! You really have to be careful not to overbake. The cookie will still taste good, but it won't have that soft velvety truffle texture in the center. MMMM... can't wait to make these again.

Peanut Butter Cup Cookies

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2010
I didn't have a mini muffin tin handy, so i just made these into little balls and put them on a baking sheet. They spread out a bit, but i was still able to put the peanut butter cup in. Everyone I served these to really enjoyed them, but I wasn't crazy about them. A little to oily and peanut buttery. You can really only eat one or two.
