Bill's Sausage Gravy

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
I just made this for dinner this evening with Bisquick Garlic biscuits and it was AWESOME. My husband loved it, and I will definitely be making it again. I used 2% milk instead of whole milk, and it still came out wonderful. I didn't remove the sausage when I browned the flour with the butter, and it worked perfectly, and I had dinner on the table in no time. Thanks, Bill for an awesome gravy recipe!!

Easy Cheesy Chicken I

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
I made this a few weeks ago for my family, and we thought it was just ok. I followed the recipe to the letter, and also added some garlic salt, cajun spice and minced garlic, and it still just didn't do it for me. The recipe title is a little deceiving, I wouldn't call this recipe "cheesy" at all. I served it over brown rice, and my kids ate it, but I don't think I'll be making it again.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2007
I've made this several times since coming across this amazing, simple recipe. My family LOVES this, as do I. I do make a few changes, though. I cut the chicken into bite sized pieces and place it in the crockpot, sprinkling it with pepper, garlic salt, cajun seasoning and some Mrs. Dash for chicken. Then, I put the soups in, and enough chicken broth to cover the chicken. I let this cook on high for three hours, and then I check for doneness, and it's usually pretty close. At that point, I add about a half a bag of frozen veggies, and a little sour cream. I then let it cook for another half hour or so, to get the veggies partially cooked. I then tear the biscuits into pieces and place them on top of the mixture, and cover them and let them cook for another hour and a half, or so. Thirty minutes is definitely not enough time. Once they're cooked through, I break them up with a spoon and mix them into the chicken mixture. It's wonderful, and I've shared it with many friends! Thanks!!

To Die For Fettuccine Alfredo

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2007
This IS to die for! It was so easy and awesome. I doubled the recipe and made it for my whole family/extended family, and added sauteed chicken to it, and it was amazing. We're all Italian, and it was on the money for us. Thanks for the great recipe!

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
I made this the other night, and it was fantastic, even though I did make a few minor changes. I didn't have any colby cheese, so I used sharp cheddar, cut into small cubes, a little bit of chopped onion, and I made a ketchup/mustard/brown sugar glaze for the top. It was so moist and the leftovers made superb sandwiches. Thanks so much for an awesome alternative to regular beef meatloafs!

Anniversary Chicken I

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2007
I made this for dinner for company the other night, and WOW!!! The chicken was so tender and juicy, and full of flavor. I didn't have any green onions, but it was still wonderful. The leftovers are also awesome. I am definitely keeping this recipe. :)

Slow Cooker London Broil

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
I put this in the crock pot this morning at 9:30, and by 3 pm, it's moist and tender, and wonderful. I did cut the London Broil into strips, and season it with black pepper and a little cajun seasoning. I then added the soups and the dry onion mix. I also added a touch of A1 sauce and two teaspoons of minced garlic. I mixed everything together well and let it sit. We won't be eating for a few hours yet, so I turned it down to warm. It smells amazing and tastes even better. What an amazingly easy, flavorful dinner!! Thanks!

Awesome Roast Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
I thought this was just ok, it depends on the cut of roast that you buy. I definitely have learned that you need a better cut, in order for it to come out moist and falling apart. The cut I got recently came out dry, but my husband loved it anyway. I just thought it was ok.

Fruit Punch

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2007
This punch is so easy and it rocks. My only complaint was the color was kind of blah, so I added some red food coloring, and that made all the difference. :) I used natural fruit punch, which isn't bright red, so that was probably the issue. The punch is really awesome, though.

This salad is grape heaven!! I definitely recommend this salad to anyone who loves grapes. I left out the nuts, simply because I was serving it to many ladies. Even still, it was a huge hit, and so yummy.

This salad will make a broccoli lover out of the pickiest eaters. I prefer my broccoli raw, so this was an awesome salad for me to make. It's really good and fairly simple. I'll be making it again for sure. :)

Six Can Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2007
I made this tonight for my family and doubled the recipe. It was awesome, though I did alter it a bit. I first sauteed half an onion in a little olive oil, then added 2 cans of chicken broth, and a can of cream of mushroom and a can of cream of chicken. I also added two cans of water, and some cumin and black pepper. I then added the Rotel and frozen corn and black beans. I didn't use canned chicken (yuck), but used shredded chicken from a rotisserie roast. It came out marvelous and my family loved it with sour cream and crushed tortilla chips. Thanks for a great recipe :)

Slow Cooker Salisbury Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2007
I made this last week, and I decided after contemplation, that it would be simpler for me to do the entire recipe in an electric skillet, and boy was I right. :) I browned the patties and then added the soups, etc, and let it all simmer covered for about 15-20 minutes. It was so easy, and so good, though a bit salty. Next time, I will only use half of the onion soup mix, and low sodium soup. I only had one dirty pan to clean, so to me, it was awesome this way. :)

Grandma's Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2007
I made this for Thanksgiving, and it was marvelous. I changed one minor thing, I used fresh green beans, which I steamed for about 10 minutes prior to baking, and it was fabulous. I used light sour cream and lower fat cheese, and it still was a huge hit. Thanks so much for the recipe!!
