About this Cook
I'm a 36 year old Christian wife and mother of 2, living in CT. I love to cook, and over the past few years, have really gotten into it. I've had many requests for me to publish a cookbook, or share my recipes with friends. I love making people happy and watching them enjoy my "art". My husband is my biggest supporter, and pretty much loves anything I put in front of him, so that helps. I also am an amateur photographer, singer, and enjoy swimming and playing with my kids.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are grilled chicken, making big roasts or steaks, or creating new casseroles or slow cooker dishes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I enjoy the holidays, any holiday that involves family and food. We are a close family, and share many meals with our extended family and friends. Thanksgiving is probably my favorite.
My cooking triumphs
I love when I can pull a meal out of just the ingredients I have on hand, it always gets me excited to see what I can come up with on short notice. :) Recently, though, I've mastered the art of a perfect Thanksgiving feast, including an awesome turkey, that was moist and juicy.
My cooking tragedies
The worst tragedy would have to be when I was around 14 years old, trying to make this elaborate chocolate brownie torte for my mother's birthday. My forte has never been baking, and I had chocolate from one end of her kitchen to the other, and burned the brownie part of the torte. It was horrific, but we can laugh about it now.

Feta Cheese Turkey Burgers
These are awesome, made with these revisions...I use ground chicken, not ground turkey, they're even better with ground chicken. Also, I use feta with mediterranean herbs, so the olives aren't even necessary. Definitely cook them in a skillet, though, they stay together better! :D

Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo
I doubled the recipe and pretty much made it as is, except for a few alterations. I added some Mrs. Dash seasoning and garlic salt to the cubed chicken, as well as some fresh sliced mushrooms. It was really good, my whole family loved it. Will definitely make it again.
