Asian Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 1, 2015
This was good, and with a little tweaking could be great. Next time I plan to decrease the sugar, as we found it too sweet, and would also add more crushed red pepper and possibly sriracha to give it a little more kick. Also, may try some of the other reviews and sub in cornstarch for some or all of the flour. Served over jasmine rice with some broccoli (which we loved dipped in the sauce!)

Stuffed Green Peppers I

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2014
These were really good - used 3 tsp of Worcestershire, beef broth instead of water in the rice and cooked it separately. My husband thought it needed tweaking - more spices and he said it was a little too "heavy." I felt like it was really good comfort food and *slightly* healthier than mac and cheese. Will definitely try again. Thanks for a great basis!

Easy Garden Green Beans

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2014
I usually don't give things one star, but we took one bite and that's it. Not sure what went wrong - I even cut down the vinegar a bit and it just tasted wrong - like the flavors did not go together. Sorry.

Rachel's Cranberry Chicken Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2014
Made this recently for a casual party and got rave reviews. I used celery instead of the green onions and put it on a hearty wheat bread - delicious! Will be making it again soon

Perfect Ten Baked Cod

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2013
This was good but really boring. The fish came out a really nice texture but I felt it was lacking in flavor. Maybe more lemon, more wine and some other spices next time. It's definitely worth playing around with.

St. Louis Toasted Ravioli

Reviewed: Feb. 3, 2013
These were really tasty - almost like Mozzarella sticks but without the stringy cheese. I forgot the add the Parmesan at the end but found they didn't need it. Also, we just used about 1/4 inch of oil in the frying pan and it worked fine.

Classic Macaroni Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2013
I am addicted to this stuff! I seriously can't stop eating it. Definitely make it a day ahead. I didn't use the carrots or pimentos (personal preference) but did add 2 cans of low sodium tuna since we always had tuna in our mac salad growing up. A very simple recipe but a staple in my house now.

The Best Thai Coconut Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2013
Very yummy soup and fairly easy to throw together. My local grocery didn't have lemongrass and I ran out of time to drive across town to the more gourmet one but it was fine without it. Added a bunch of extra curry paste because I know the brand we buy has very little spice. Would definitely make again, maybe adding a few more veggies (red pepper - not sure what else.)

Garlic-Ginger Chicken Wings

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
I thought this recipe was good - my husband said they were the best wings he's ever had! I even omitted the salt and used low sodium soy sauce for health reasons and they were still delicious. Probably wouldn't do anything different next time. Thanks

Enchiladas Suizas

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2012
Mmm... addictive. Used slightly less cheese and cream to make it a little healthier and it turned out great! Didn't skip frying the tortillas, though - I feel the slightly crunchy tortillas really added to the dish. The only change I would make next time would be to add some spices to the chicken itself. Mm.... I already want more!

Roasted Garlic Cauliflower

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Wow, I never thought that cauliflower that wasn't drenched in cheese sauce could be this good. My husband said he could have just eaten a large bowl of this for dinner. Will be making again next week!

Roasted Curried Chicken with Couscous

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2012
Delicious! Made exactly per the recipe except omitted the salt and made a 5lb roaster. Getting the curry sauce under the skin was key... made the meat very flavorful. Looking forward to trying chicken salad tomorrow.

Smashed Cauliflower

Reviewed: Sep. 21, 2011
Mmm... I have to say I did alter the recipe, but found it delicious! I cooked the cauliflower as directed, but then drained it completely. I then whipped it with a hand mixer with the butter and cheeses and added in a little half and half to get the right consistency. Definitely not low-fat, but delicious. Will be making this again!

Thai Pineapple Chicken Curry

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
This has become a staple in our house, yummy as written without any changes. It makes WAY too much food, though.

Sesame Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
A bit too salty for my taste, and otherwise no interesting flavors going on. Would rather just make a normal stir-fry.

German Rouladen

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
I felt this came out dry and the flavors didn't quite mix. I've never had rouladen, so I guess it's just not my cup of tea.

Zippy Chicken Corn Chowder

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2011
This recipe was good, but nothing special. It seemed a bit bland for my husband and I - definitely very fresh and a nice comfort meal, but a bit disappointing.

Fried Onion Rings

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2011
Mmm... not too heavy of a batter. I don't think it needs any extra beer, like previous reviewers have recommended. Made according to the recipe, except added some spices (Chili powder, garlic powder and cayanne pepper) to taste. Will definitely use again, thanks.

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
This dip was good, but my husband and I both thought it was *missing something.* Next time I will try adding more parmesan, and maybe a sharper cheese. Asiago, maybe?

Asian Beef Skewers

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
These were wonderful, and looked great as a party appetizer! I only marinated them for 2 hours because they were a last-minute decision, but turned out great anyway. Will definitely be making again.
