Cabbage Patch Stew

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2006
Sooooo good! Cabbage came out sweet! I did it on the stovetop because I don't have a crockpot, used diced tomatoes with chilis and mixed it with rice. Was very spicy.

Cooking Light magazine's Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 6, 2005
AMAZING!! TRY THIS RECIPE!! I cannot believe it is light! It is now a staple recipe of mine. I did have some trouble.. followed the recipe exactly and it was WAY to dry, so i added more applesauce and oil. I may have dried the zucchini too much.

Pan-Seared Chicken Breasts with Shallots

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
I almost gave it 3 stars since i had to add a lot more chicken broth to make the sauce edible. Way too much wine,! I did add mushrooms which added a lot and added cornstarch. With more broth, less wine it was delicious!

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2004
Incredible!! Delicious warm right out of the oven as well as chilled overnight, not sure which way I like it more. I will try with fresh peaches next. I doubled the recipe and baked 3, 8'' normal depth pies since i could not find a deep 9'' pan. TRY THIS RECIPE!

French Spring Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2004
DELICIOUS! Sooooo good with no more seasoning added. The perfect word to describe it is fresh. I was a little sceptical, but its delicious. I halved the recipe and used fat free evaporated milk rather than cream. Will definately make many more times!!

Classic Cabbage Rolls

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2004
My first time having cabbage rolls. Husband loved them. Overall pretty good, but I had twice the filling I could possibly use, froze the unused half. Also, I think it would have tasted better using tomato sauce in the filling instead of the tomato soup, I could really taste the soup.

Broccoli Potato Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2004
I even added extra cheese, but it just tasted like mush, with a broccoli flavor. 1/5 guests liked it however and she took home the leftovers.

Cola Pot Roast II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2004
Excellent! I used diet coke since that is what we drink, and cream of celery soup b/c that was all I had. Served it to 5 guests and had no left overs, everyone was raving about how good it was.

Port And Mushroom Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2004
Amazing!! I made several changes, I doubled the sauce, I added 1/2 cup fat free half and half to make it creamy at the end, thickened it with corn starch, added red wine rather than port, and added some chives, and used onion rather than shallots, almost a new recipe, but still amazing!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2004
This was amazing. I don't understand how anyone could say it has no flavor, unless they used cream of mushroom soup rather than golden mushroom b/c they taste very different. I added more onions and sliced mushrooms and more water to cover everything. I also added 1 T. cornstarch when I added the cream cheese to thicken it a bit. Even better the second day. I even used elk meat and couldn't tell!! My new favorite dish!

Chow Mein Noodle Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 22, 2004
I loved it, very different. My fiance didn't like it, but he told me afterwards that he doesn't like chow mein noodles or cooked almonds! It is pretty salty, so you might want to use low sodium soup and/or soy sauce if you don't like salt.

This was the most terrible thing I have ever made. I did it in the oven instead and it tasted like flour.

Best Tuna Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2001
I used fresh mushrooms, fat-free soup, and omitted the crackers. I tried to half the recipe, which worked pretty well, but i think i needed either a little less soup ror more noodles. It probably would have been better with regular soup, but still good.
