Roasted Pears with Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2007
Followed previous reviewers advice (375 degree oven, added crystalized ginger and pear liqueur, cut brown sugar in half). Very yummy and also impressive presentation. Used pistachios and glad I did...nice flavor compliment.

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2005
Big hit at Christmas dinner. Used 3lbs. frozen peaches--will try 4lbs. next time because I like lots of fruit. Added 2 tsp. Grand Marnier to the peach filling. Very yummy.

Buffalo Chicken Strips II

Reviewed: Jul. 10, 2005
Took this to a group meeting and the guys could not get enough! I gave 4 stars only because I needed to make more sauce than the recipe called for. Also, I used Frank's Chile 'n Lime Hot Sauce.

Annie's Fruit Salsa and Cinnamon Chips

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2005
Like others, I added mango for great taste and color. On half of the cinnamon chips, I dipped the tip of the triangle in melted chocolate and topped with a macadamia nut half.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2004
Excellent cookie! After reading reviews, I scooped batter into 1/4 cup balls (#16 scoop) and chilled until firm (about one hour). Baked for exactly 15 minutes. Removed from non-stick baking sheet immediately onto cooling rack.

Bella's Rosemary Red Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2004
Easy, quick! I'm watching my cholesterol so omitted butter and cut olive oil in half. Added 1 small diced onion. Will make again.

Southwestern Chicken Pitas with Chipotle Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2004
When tasted alone, the chipotle sauce was a little too smokey for my taste buds but when added to the sandwich, it was very good! Will make again!!

Broccoli Chicken Casserole I

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2003
Well, if your kids won't eat broccoli, it's because you haven't tried this recipe with them!! I used suggestions from others, i.e., added sauteed onion, celery & garlic; used cream of chicken soup + milk. I also roasted the chicken breast instead of boiling it. Chicken was moist and flavorful.

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2002
Like others, I did not want to use that much sugar. I made 1/2 of the recipe and used 1 cup sugar + 2 eggs. Turned out great. Next time I may try 3/4 cup sugar. Great for "mini loaves" to give as gifts.
