Janet's Rich Banana Bread

This banana bread recipe is so yummy! I subsituted mini chocolate chips for walnuts and the kids couldn't get enough. (I didn't want to stop eating it either.) We loved it so much we made a 2nd batch to enjoy, as the first batch went quickly. It's a keeper.

Herb-Crusted Chuck Roast

Tried this today with a chuck roast and it turned out yummy! I'm not sure how many lbs my roast was, but only cooked for about an hour and it was cooked perfectly to medium rare. It was delicious, and I WILL make again!!

Pork Steaks

This dish was phenomenal!! I forgot fresh garlic, so sprinkled a little garlic powder on before baking and it was so delicious. I had to bake for 30 minutes (maybe a little more) as my frying pan wasn't big enough for all 4 pork steaks, but, I bet frying will make the meat even better!! This will go into our rotation with pork chops. I can't wait to cook pork again!

Beef Stroganoff I

I used this recipe as a starter for my left over steak, I sauteed onion added canned mushroom, I would have preferred fresh, but we were in a pinch tonigh. I used a tsp of beef broth, and a half C. of water, and a little wondra to thicken the sauce less sourcream would have been sufficient, I used half the amount called for and it was still to much. For a last minute use up what we have on hand, the recipe turned out great!

Simple Time Pork Chops

These chops were good, but I thought the butter was a bit to much. I will make again, but decrease the butter. I used a little minced garlic instead of the dried parsley and it added a nice flavor.

Yakitori Chicken

I made this recipe last night, but only had 1/4 cup of soy sauce, so the ginger was pretty over powering. I used the marinade as a dipping sauce to enhance the flavor of the Chicken. It didn't taste much like the Yakitori you get in Japan, but was a nice change. I may try again with the correct amount of soy sauce, just to use up the Sake.

Parmesan Baked Potatoes

This was a good recipe, the first time I made it, I used to a little to much parmesan and not enough butter. I made it closer to the recipe tonight (still a little more parmesan) and it turned out very good. Not quite a 5, but still a nice change of pace for a side dish.
