Braised Balsamic Chicken

This was really delicious. I made it and let it sit in the sauce while I roasted potato cubes with olive oil, balsamic and rosemary. The flavor went all through the chicken and it was moist and flavorful and was great with the roasted potatoes. Tasted like something from a good Italian restaurant!

Chicken Tortilla Soup IV

Chicken Lasagna Alfredo

This really was missing something. It was dry - definitely needed more sauce. And it just was bland. I was really excited about making this one, as it seemed like it should be delicious. But it wasn't. It needed garlic (which I added, but clearly not enough) and something else - maybe nutmeg and lots of pepper added to the spinach mixture? Don't know if I'll try this again - it was expensive to experiment with.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies I

These were good. Very light. I used half whole wheat flour, and they were still puffy and soft. Would probably add more pumpkin and more spice next time. I subbed all the spices for pumpkin pie spice, and it could have used more. Thanks for sharing!

Chicken Salad

I just made this for my husband's tennis team, and people raved! I did it all but the water chestnuts and onion, and added diced crunchy apple. It was delicious, and a lady even told me it was the best chicken salad she had ever eaten. Thank you!

White Chili with Ground Turkey

This was really good! Went easy on the cinnamon, but the chopped chiles really added a nice flavor. This will be a regular at our house. Served it with iron skillet cornbread and honey butter.

French Crepes

These tasted good, but were much more difficult to work with than other recipes from this site. I just about pulled my hair out by the time I finished making 2 batches of these. I ended up adding about 1/2 cup of flour - they were just SO fragile that I couldn't even flip them. And I make crepes at least weekly, so it wasn't for lack of experience. I'd stick with one of the more simple 4 ingredient recipes on this site.

Blueberry Cream Muffins

Best blueberry muffin recipe I've ever used. Very moist, and, as I added the extra sugar suggested by others, nice and sweet, in contrast to the slightly tart blueberries. Yum! Thanks for sharing!

Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Cookies

These were really good, cakey cookies. They did need some more spice - pumpkin pie spice is perfect for it. Remind me of the pumpkin chocolate chip muffin tops our local grocery store sells. Yum! And they smell fantastic when they're cooking!

Cheesy Potato and Corn Chowder

I LOVE this recipe. It's rich and creamy, with plenty of body. I have even made it using leftover mashed potatoes instead of the diced potatoes, and it was hearty and delicious. For those of us spicy food lovers, a couple dashes of good hot sauce just makes it perfect! Thanks for a great soup recipe!

Banana Wheat Bread

Excellent bread!! Great, nutritious breakfast or snack. One caution, though - while the recipe is pretty forgiving, don't mess with it too much. I did, and it didn't turn out well at all. So treat it nicely, and it will turn out really well!
