About this Cook
I am an intermediate cook trying to become a foodie. I love trying new things, learning about the details in cooking and enjoying food!
My favorite things to cook
Right now, I have a knack for indian food, I'm not very good at it, but I'm trying to learn from my indian friends. Basmati rice is intoxicating! I also like cooking desserts, spicy foods, and eating snacks.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family is Thai and Chinese. We are a very food oriented family and cook mostly everything. I attribute most of my cooking saavy from my mom.
My cooking triumphs
Cheesecake! I have mastered it.
My cooking tragedies
Indian curry - I can't quite master this one. Its hard to make all the flavors go together without making a huge mess. This makes the challenge all the more exciting to conquer!

Ashley's Chocolate Chip Cookies
These cookies were way too cakelike for my taste. I added that extra 1/2 tsp of baking soda, but I didn't like eating them. They taste OK but the texture is like eating a crunchy cake.

Best Hamburger Ever
These are ever so yummy! I have made this about 4 times, each time they always turn out great! And on the George Foreman grill, they are delicious. I didn't use the parsley or rosemary or dried onion soup mix. Instead I replaced the onion soup mix with some dried onions you buy at the market. It tastes great without it. All the other seasonings I put in. Yummy!

Authentic Enchiladas Verdes
I cooked the tomatillos as noted on the recipe and the sauce came out real bitter. It was not like the mexican restaurants. I will not try again!
