Chilled Lemonade Dessert

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
This was pretty good. I used regular cream cheese as that's what I had on hand. I tried a lemonade dessert years ago that I fell in love with, and have not been able to find any recipe that matches it. But, this was definately good and I will make it again.

Grandmother's Famous Cranberry Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 4, 2008
This is a very tasty, moist bread. I used dried cranraisins in place of the regular raisins. Next time I will decrease the amount of cranraisins to 1 1/2 cup, as I thought a total of 3 cups was way too much.

Grandma Johnson's Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2008
WOW! These were great. This was my first attempt at making scones and I can't believe how easy it was. I used my food processor to cut in the butter. I added 1/2 teaspoon almond extract and substituted cranraisins for the raisins.Because the picture shows some icing, I drizzled some icing on the finished product(after they cooled down. Next time I'll cut the wedges into smaller pieces and bake in batches, as they spread more than I anticipated. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe.

Jumbo Shrimp and Asparagus

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2010
As recommended by others, I added 2 gloves of garlic . Thought I had some sherry in the cupboard, but I didn't, so I substituted Marsala for the sherry. I served this over linguine pasta and both my husband and I loved this. Will make this again soon. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

German Apple Pancake

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
Oh my gosh, this was great. I used 2 apples (personal preference) and the rest of the recipe was followed exactly. My son and his girlfriend are here for Christmas break and I thought this was a good opportunity to try this and they loved it as well. This is, without a doubt, a keeper. Thanks so much for sharing.

Avocado Dip II

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2008
This really is quick, easy and delicious. The first time I made it, it was rather runny. So, the second time, I strained the salsa ( I use the fresh kind sold in the supermarket)and the consistency was pefect. Everyone was asking for the recipe. Thanks for sharing!

Almond-Topped Fish

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2010
Both my husband and I really enjoyed this dish. I was a bit skeptical due to some of the negative comments I read, but realizing that everyone's tastes are different, I decided to give it a try and am glad I did. This is a keeper! I cut the sauce recipe in half, as I used only 2 fillets. I was too lazy to toast the almonds (I used slivered rather than sliced), so I sprinkled them onto the fish for the last 2 minutes of baking and they toasted up nicely. Thanks so much for sharing this recipe. Can't wait to share it with my co-workers tomorrow!

African Chicken Stew

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2009
Much to my surprise, we all loved this. I used ground red pepper rather than the flakes, as that's what I had on hand, and used a sweet potato rather than a white one. This was really tasty. We will enjoy this again. Thanks for sharing!

Oatmeal Raisin Cookies IV

Reviewed: Sep. 25, 2008
These are the BEST oatmeal raisin cookies I have ever tasted. Most oatmeal cookies are too sweet, but these are perfect. Crisp, yet chewy. Very flavorful. Can't wait to try this recipe with Cranraisins. Thanks so much for sharing!

Oregano Cubed Potatoes

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
These potatoes were tasty. The garlic really added a "nutty" flavor to the potatoes, which was a welcomed treat. Next time I will cube them a little larger as they did overcook, but that's because I cut them too small. None the less, we enjoyed these and look forward to making them again. Thanks for sharing!

Grilled Salmon I

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2010
This was the BEST salmon recipe ever. I baked it in the foil pouch as someone suggested and it was moist and tasty. I did omit the salt as soy sauce is salty enough for me. Both hubby and I enjoyed this dish and am looking forward to making it again and again. Thanks so much for sharing!

Hubby really liked this..had a little spunk, but the egg noodles I served with the chicken tamed down the sauce. Will, without a doubt, make this again. Thanks for sharing!

Yummy Honey Chicken Kabobs

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2009
This was delicious! I marinated chicken breasts in the mixture (I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil)and just threw the whole breasts on the grill. I didn't baste or anything. The marinade seemed to lock in the juices and the end result was juicy, flavorful chicken breasts. Thanks, Ann Marie, for sharing a great recipe which my family will enjoy for many meals to come!

Tomato Pepper Steak

Reviewed: Jun. 5, 2008
First let me say I have NEVER been a fan of Pepper Steak. I reluctantly tried this recipe and all I can say is "WOW". The meat was tender and had the best flavor ever. I didn't change one thing. My family really liked it. They told me to be sure to keep this recipe so we can have it again. Thanks so much for sharing!
