We loved these onion rings! I added extra spices - garlic, paprika and cayenne pepper to both the flour and the bread crumbs. The bread crumbs were homemade from the sweet Amish bread recipe from this site. After I battered the onion rings, I let them drip on a metal skewer over a cookie sheet covered in aluminum foil - about 6 at a time. From there I put them in the bread crumbs and one by one right into the fryer. They turned out beautifully and were delicious. Time consuming, but worth it. Great recipe!
