Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2011
These were great. I didn't have cornstarch on hand, so I left it out and I didn't miss it. I battered mine in this order-egg, flour, egg, bread crumbs, egg, flour, egg, bread crumbs. They turned out nice and crispy and no cheese spilled out. They are very messy to make, but its worth it.

Matt's Crab & Clam Bisque

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2010
This was very good. I used fresh cracked crab legs (alot of work) that I had bought on sale and froze a couple weeks ago. My only complaint is that the soup is not thick at all. I added some cornstarch and water to thicken to my preference. Great soup, a nice change from chicken noodle and chili!

Ten Minute Enchilada Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
I had no idea it was so easy to make! I used regular flour as suggested by other reviews. I didnt have onion salt, so i just added a little diced onion. Also, didnt have a can of tomato sauce on hand so I substituted 8oz V8 juice. This was quick and easy and great for my beef enchiladas!

Salmon Patties I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
I wanted a basic and easy recipe for salmon patties and I found it. I used the salmon in the pouch, it makes it alot easier than the stuff in the can. This is a great recipe for anybody to personalize.

Chicken Lo Mein

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
This was great. I took this to 'food day' at work, and it was a big hit. I used all the fresh veggies and marinated the chicken before hand. This is a keeper.

Cheesy Beans and Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
YUMMY!!! I took this to a Mexican themed potluck, because it was quick and easy, and my cooking skills aren't the best in that area. This turned out to be a big hit, and now I make it at home. I followed the recipe as is, and it was perfect.

Baked Mushroom Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
Ive made this several times, and i enjoy it, my family wasnt too crazy about it, but their not mushroom fans. I used minute rice and substituted chicken broth for the vegetable broth. It did not turn out dry and the rice was cooked all the way....ill continue making this.

Stuffed Shells III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
These were great. I prepared the filling and boiled the shells in the morning before work and left them in the fridge separately. When I got home that evening, i stuffed the shells and baked them, and the presentation was beautiful. Letting the filling sit made it alot easier to fill the shells that were completely cooled. Thanks for the recipe!

Walter's Chicken and Mac

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
this was really good. I did add some more seasonings as suggested and sauteed onions and mushrooms in olive oil. This wasn't dry at all like iv'e experienced with similar recipes. Even my picky 9 year old had a second helping of this. Its a keeper.

Restaurant Style Egg Drop Soup

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
We like to have 'chinese night' in our house at least once a month and this recipe is quick and easy and even my nine year old loves it. Instead of chives, i used green onions, and i also added some soy sauce to this while cooking. I have even added yellow food coloring a time or two to give it that golden color you see in the restaurant. Very delicious.

Strawberry Pretzel Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2008
This was good, but im not sure what happened....my jello topping seemed kinda runny, had a hard time cutting in without it being kind of sloppy. It was still tasty, just not the big hit i was going for.

Easy Caramelized Onion Pork Chops

These are very good, however I substituted chicken broth for the water and this added a nice flavor. Also as suggested, I left the pan uncovered while simmering. Very tender, love these!

Manicotti Alla Romana

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2008
This was the first time I have ever made manicotti, and I will never use another recipe...I didn't change a thing and I can't wait to make this for family to show off my skills! DEVINE!......................UPDATE......... I used this filling with stuffed shells (at my 9 yr olds request) and instead of ground beef i used italian sausage, the sausage gave it a great flavor. This has become a family favorite!

Crab and Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms

Reviewed: Aug. 5, 2007
I love these. Instead of using lobster however I use tiny salad shrimp along with the crab meat. My 7 yr old son loves to help "stuff" the mushrooms and says these are "mom's specialty"....I have recently found that if you have leftover stuffing, it goes great stuffed inside a chicken breast! yum!
